Mrs Red is a real dirty fighter, and we're not talking mud wrestling.

If biting and gouging don't have the desired effect, she has no qualms about resorting to weapons. Her favourites are the spatula, the wooden sandal, the chipped plate, and the hoover attachments.

She once felled a fully grown bricklayer from a distance of 50 yards with a bar of carbolic soap.

I also noticed this today. It's a tree that has grown around a metal post. Everyone just walked past it, but I though it was amazing.

Funnily enough there was a horse called Carabinier running last weekend so I obviously had a tenner on it for solidarity's sake.

It's still running I think..

Lovely - it reminded me of a picture I saw a while ago of the "Bike eating tree" - found it on here - along with some fantastic trees:

I watched the last half hour of "Gypsy Blood" last night Tom. Quite revealing, & some of it scared the life out of me. I did not much enjoy seeing the 2 young boys box, or "spar" for 20 minutes, but I can see the benefit it bestows in later life.

Mention was made of "Bartley Gorman", who was the subject of that book we discussed last week - "King of the Gypsies", I think. So, I was messing around last night, looking for stuff, as ever, & I found this, which both you & Mrs Red may enjoy, it is a short docu featuring Bartley himself. It is set in his home (Caravan), & includes contributions from his two daughters, & stuff filmed inside & outside his Caravan. I don't know, but I sort of assume it was filmed in Uttoxeter, near where the Little Chef is, on the A50?
