GREAT photo!

Who is in charge, in which order?

1) Mrs She Who Must Be Obeyed

2)

3)

4)

5)

6)

7) Mr M.

Mrs Red always at the top and me always at the bottom followed by varying arrangements of the other girls with permutations changing to suit the situation.

If something goes wrong, gets broken, needs paying for or blaming on, Mrs Red and I change places.

I have to say Matt, your taste in women isn't usually the same as mine, but in the interests of friendship, I would be prepared to make an exception on this occasion.

Good man Kev. It's like eating your parsnips before your roast taters.

This picture gives a better idea of how big she is.

Whatever spin anyone puts on this whole affair, navigating that vessel so close to shore was grossly irresponsible. It's be like flying a 747 or A380 full of passengers right across London at 300 feet.

I feel like I keep taking a side I don't want to be on.  As posted in the other place the route he took is here in red (under close call?).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16620807

Of course you could say the route he took was grossly irresponsible.  But he is that close to the shore in the photo because that is where he sailed after hitting the rocks.  ie he turned back to where the boat ended because he was trying to save lives and that can't be described as grossly irresponsible.  He clearly reverses the boat and I think the only plausible explanation is he was deliberately putting the boat in shallow water at the time.

I don't know if anybody also clicked on previous close call of Giglio.  It was surprising he remained in his job after that previous bit of gross irresponsibility.  This all assumes he was the captain responsible for the previous one, or more correctly, irresponsible for that one?

Have I future in PR?

This man needs to look over his shoulder. Though, to be fair, I take your point, & may have judged Capatain Blunder wrongly. Is it not possible, though, that on the previous close pass/near miss, the tides were different, i.e., deeper water, making it OK, & this time the tide was lower, & thus the water un-navigable for a ship of that size?

This is as scary a place you could choose to land your plane

That x at the end of the runway means that the runway is too short to be classifies as a comercial airport.

I like the sound of Saba, among the facts about Saba

The islanders commissioned some engineers to build a road on Saba.  They said it couldn't be built, so one of the islanders took a correspondence course in civil engineering and then they built the road themselves.

The road is called "The Road".  The road was started from a place called "The Bottom", which is a title that doesn't leave the reader wondering where it may be.

Look on you tube for some of the landing strips they have in the Himalayas.
