Wow fabulous few days there Tom, lovely photos except the one of you doing the kids finger thingy. 🤣
I must say I'm disappointed to see you cavorting with a woman looking half your age. 🤔😁

She's wearing me out. I'm going to swap her in for an older model.

So we left the coast and turned inland. Destination, rural Italy.
We didn't want to do the big towns so we kept to the back roads and the unspoilt villages. The roads are narrow but religion is very big in Italy and every village seems to have an ancient church with a large courtyard.
No one seems to mind if you park there, especially if you are as unobtrusive as we are.
Can you even see us in this pic?

All the ancient churches have ancient bell towers with ancient clocks that can't possibly work... But they do. What's more they keep perfect time and chime once on the half hour and a full chime on the hour... Every hour, day and night.
What's more, when say, its chimed 10 times for 10 O'clock, it chimes 10 times again at five past ten. I looked the reason up and its because these clocks were in service when virtually no one had a watch or a clock so they relied on the church clock. Now they might not be ready to count the chimes right off the bat at 10 O'clock when it first chimes, but at 5 past they would be expecting it and paying attention.
So, that's 12 chimes twice at midnight. We decided to find it quaint and charming.

Changing the subject for a moment, this sort of bollocks really winds me up.
How can this be banned...

No wonder that courtyard isn't choc-a-bloc with campers.
I bet the local fruit and veg are amazing at this time of year especially those big tomatoes

Those tomatoes are incredible Ralph. As big as tennis balls and full of flavour.
They taste almost salty before you've actually put any salt on, if you know what I mean.

Girgy!
I wonder what happened to him?
I used to give him loads of stick but fair play to him, he took it well.
Last I heard of Girgy he had a number of little ones including twins at one point I think?
Various driving jobs, think he was driving buses but its been a couple of years at least since I last saw/heard anything.
Not sure if I was dreaming but I think he got absolutely ripped?
I'm off to see if I can find evidence of this......
Lol. Pics or it didn't happen.
Couldn't find the pic that I had in my head but....
Wasn't quite ripped but i lost 11 stone been up and down since like
Been a while since I last logged in here but had the pleasure of sitting next to Mr TK himself today down at the goliath. Was great chatting with him and sure he took a picture if he wants to post it
Hope everyone's doing well and take care x
