I had a surgeon who could operate with a scalpel in one hand and a King Edward Invincible in the other.

Oooh a bonus live update from the hospital.
So are they going to break your hooter again and then straighten it out Tom ?
Something like that Ralph. They say that when it's over, I may not be able to pilot light aircraft.
still waiting, peeps complaning, nurses have no info.
PS- I'm hungry.
Is your new hooter going to be a top of the range job like mine, or will it be more in the compo stylee ?
Oh I don't give a shiny what it looks like, (So long as it's not like Compo's) I just want to be able to breath through it.
Have you had your dinner yet?

So you've woken up with a face that feels like it's been whacked with a cricket bat and a sore bum

It will be no different than the old schnoz, except this time the holes in it will lead to my lungs,
I had my ears piped up to my lungs too (Could be useful)

Well I had a a little sleep, unlike some of the other poor buggers in here. some of them have real illnesses, they make me feel like a fraud.
The nurses are just like everyone else in society, some are nice and kind, some are snotty cows.
I still haven't had any food apart from a sarnie. breakfast has been promised, but has yet to appear.
It took me forever to get to sleep last night, and then they woke me up at 6am to ask if I wanted any pain killers.
