My dog is ill at the moment, have to take him to the vets all day to be hooked up to a drip, he came home this eve but has to go in all day tommorow to be attached to the drip all day again. His eyes and gums are yellow and he cant keep anything down. And the little bugger keeps trying to chew his canular.
That must be really worrying.
My dog was on a drip for 2 weeks a couple of years ago when he had parvovirus. He lost 3 stone in those 2 weeks but still made a comeback to be a big strapping lad again now.
He came home last night but had no energy and although they gave him anti sickness injections he projectile vomited across the lounge twice and diahoria on the carpet 3 times. Bloods are due in around lunch time but they are gonna shave his belly to ultra sound his liver and kidneys now. It is just like watching a sick kid it was such a tear to leave him there today, just want to stay at jhome and look after them, and thank god for pet insurance.
They can work miracles those vets so try not to worry too much.
Hope he gets better soon.

he has major kidney problems, one of the enzyme counts in the liver was meant to be a high of 60 his was 4738, another was a high of 130 his 1123.
they have taken him in and have said the first few days are v crictical if he is gonna pull through but I still hold out hope. It's looking like a £5k bill that i have to pay and then hope the insurance re-fund me. its £400 a day to stay there without any medical treatment

If he's going to the RVC then he has to have a chance, by all accounts the treatment there is better than you'll find in any hospital. Fingers crossed he pulls through.

While I was out today, my daughter Bridie rang me. With rising panic in her voice, she told me that our little dog Kizzy was missing.
Now Kizzy never leaves the place, she just doesn't go anywhere, so I was quite worried myself. I rushed home and set about looking for her, eventually walking down the main road in the village calling her name.
Steve, the bloke from the garage told me that a woman had asked him if someone had lost a dog, and had left her number with him. I rang the number and told the woman that it was my dog and that I would like to collect her. She told me I was too late, because she had rang the dog warden.
Biting my tongue, I persuaded her to give me her address and I went to collect my dog.
Once I had the dog safely installed in my car, I thanked the woman for her trouble.
"By the way, I asked, "Where did you find her?"
"She was running about in that field" came the reply, "You know, the one where the Gypsies are."
Nice.. it could have been this one..
