The opening few hands of the heads up have been played out, with pots swapped, but Mike just getting the edge over Andreas so far.

Both players are so aggressive though, this may not last long...

Mike has just edged a little further into the lead with 4,200,000 compared to Andreas' 850,000.

What a day! Wowzer.

I'm exhausted but thrilled for Mike, who becomes the youngest EPT champion by a long way, having only turned 18 in September. The guy has elevated himself into poker history and deservedly so, as his brand of fearless, aggressive poker got the great reward it deserved. A new star is born....


I'm off to join the troops celebrating so thanks for following myself and Jen. It's been a memorable event from an wonderful location here at teh Hohensyburg casino with the most exciting poker I've ever witnessed. Thanks to Pokerstars.com and Madeleine Harper for making us feel so welcome!


Mike is such a popular champion that even the a peace treaty has been negotiated between the gummi bears and the press.
