Players are returning to the tables now.

I was chatting to Jen, Dan Carter and Red Dog when in the middle of the conversation, Red suddenly takes out a plastic comb and starts chewing on a couple of the bristles! Helps to keep him from smoking, but it certainly was a bizarre comedy moment.

Paul Moss lost a big pot with Aces to Kings just after the break. Then Tony Phillips (who is the definition of what you would call a 'cheeky chappie') raised it up, John O'Shea called and Paul Moss bumped it up by another 2k. Both players called.

Paul Moss instantly moved in for his last 4,550. Tony thought about it for a while, it felt as though he had a decent sized pair and was trying to ascertain whether he was ahead. Eventually he called, John O'Shea, whom I was standing behind, looked once more at his and threw it away, assuming Tony probably had Jacks, and that he was beat.

Paul Moss:

Tony Philips:

The Irishman let out a slightly anguished cry when he realised he'd folded the best hand.

Hi guys, could you pass on best of luck to Luton's "Celtic". Lets hope the boy can do goooooood!!!!!

He's just knocked out Steve Jelinek.

Vince had raised preflop and Steve Jelinek had called from the blinds to see a flop, the latter check/raising all-in on the flop with . Except Vince had raised with and housed up on the turn, Steve was not a happy bunny...

Dan Owston is OUT. He re-raised/bluffed Colin Gillon off a hand and shown 6-4off, and in the next hand Colin raised again and Dan re-raised once more, this time Colin called and they saw a Q-T-x flop, all the chip went in, this time Dan had a hand, Kings as it happens, but Colin had out-flopped him with Q-T to make top two pair. Dan was left with 100 chips and was promptly out soon after, while Colin has around 40k now.

Nik Persaud has knocked out Davijay Sadarangani.

There was a 9-9-9 flop but it was Davijay needing the emergency, all his chips ending up by the river with pocket Eights, but missing out against Nik's Aces.

Can I please have Craig Owen updates when you've got 5, thanks!

Flops gone to check on Dave Clark and I'll hunt down Craig Owen in a few minutes.

.........................................................

I noticed that Rupert Elder had steadily gone up and up during the day, now on about 30,000.  He was last seen knocking out Andrew Bradshaw who had been crippled prior to his exit hand.

.........................................................

Similarily Neil Channing is scooping up some chips by missing his up and down draw but hitting a flush instead on the river against Graham Clarkson.  On circa 20,000.

Some bad news for blondes.

Stuart Fox has just lost most of his chips with three diamonds against on a board.

Dan Carter is OUT. He lost a 25k pot after raising a limper preflop with and then betting every street of a three diamonds Two Diamonds board. His opponent check/called the whole way before showing for a better flush. He then pushed in blind from the small blind with J-8 but the big blind called with K-4 and that was that.

Red Dog, on the other hand has doubled up, raising it up in early position with Queens, facing a re-raise to 3k, before moving in for about 3.5k on top. His opponent made a reluctantly call with . The board bricking out , Tom is now on 15k.

Tom shows .

Board:

("Uuuuh" goes the table) ("Ooooh" goes the table) three diamonds (No noise, just an intake of breath from the whole table...)...... !!!

Nick Gibson doubled up through David Maudlin after an agonising dwell for his tournament life.  Blind on blind action with Nick in the small blind, he bet out on this board:

but was reraised (putting Nick all in) from David.  Nick took a long while and in the end a minute clock was put on him, clearly it was a tough decison as he made the call and flipped over  .  It was good as David was representing a much stronger hand than the  he was holding.

Nick now on 32,000.

Colin Gillon (pictured) just doubled up Stuart Fox.

Colin had been stealing with three diamonds but Foxy held the dominating when Colin was forced to call the all-in due to the odds.

Board:

Shortly afterwards Foxy was ordering a beer and raising it up from the hijack. Jen moved in from the big blind and Foxy called.

Jen showed whilst Foxy held

A board later and Jen has doubled up to just over 10k.

Tim Blake and Craig Owen played a healthy sized 11k pot, Owen betting 7k on the flop, Tim folding with a shrug.

Nick Hicks has doubled up finally after Jerome Bradpiece made a raise with Q 10 os, Nick woke up with AA in the big blind and gave it a spin.  Jerome was commited to the hand and Nick now on 11,000.

Sat in a nice little row is a blonde sandwich with Nick Hicks and Pete Linton having a Red Dog filling.

On a board of      Tim Farrelly bet out 5,000 with 10k behind and Mick Jones reraised all in for a ton more (he had Tim well covered).  Tim made the pass and showed  .  Mick said "Wow, you passed that yeah?" and flipped over  shruggin his shoulders.  Mick is on around 30,000.
