The board reads and David Maudlin moves all-in for about 8.7k into an 8k or so pot, putting Jerome Bradpiece to the test.

Jerome gurns, thinks, gurns a lot more, in fact I think he does more gurning than thinking, but perhaps they aren't mutually exclusive here. Anyway after the healthy amount of gurnage, Bradpiece makes the call for a big chunk of his stack.

Maudlin says, "Good call, King high."

Jerome shows as he puts on his cape...

Dave Clark is OUT. He pushed over the top of Marc Goodwin's raise with against Goodwin's ducks but lost the race.

time.

A short-stacked Tuan Le pushes all-in, Chunky Mick and Charles Denton push all-in behind him for huge stacks.

Tuan Le:

Chunky Mick:

Charles Denton:

Board:

two spades

Charles has Mick covered for a side pot worth about 80k, and Tuan Le's little jig of delight at winning the 15k main pot goes by almost unnoticed as Mick's huge stack gets moved away from him.

Foxy is OUT, courtesy of Mr Neil Channing.

Rupert Elder is going very well with 75k.

Tim Flanders is OUT. He was all-in with Ace Ten, Daniel 'UpTheMariners' Rudd had called behind with Queens before Sunil Mistry moved in behind him. Keith Russell shoved his pittance of a stack in as well for value. Rudd folded after some though.

Russell showed J-9 whilst Mistry had Kings, the board came out J-9-6-7-Q giving Russell the main pot whilst Mistry took a small side pot.

Nick Hicks is OUT.  No details -boooooo

He was busted by his good friend Pete Linton who button shoved with , Nick called with A-Q and hit a Queen high flop but Pete hit running hearts to knock him out.

Also out is Red Dog, Jerome Bradpiece made it 2.2k, Chicken Joe raised an extra 10k, and Red moved in with Queens. Jerome passed and Joe called with Jacks, spiking on the flop. Jen has just been moved into his seat next to Pete and Nick Gibson.

Floppy, any news on Ben Vinson please ?

Yeah he just donated a fair whack to Vince 'Celtic' Calenti though, who check/called him on the flop and turn of a two hearts board before moving on the river getting Ben to muck.

Is Jen still in?

Yes, she's got about 12k at the moment.

Tim Blake has trebled up to 21k with K-Q vs 7-4 vs A-K on a 7-4-Q-x-K board.

Thick and fast!

Neil Channing just squeezed out Vince Calenti and Tony Cascarino out of a pot after Vince raised to 3.2k and Tony flat-called before Channing moved in for about 17k.

Charles Ihle has doubled through Chicken Joe with A-9 vs K-J on a 9-3-2-2-9 board, all the money in on the flop.

Nik Persaud just won a huge pot knocking out the person next to him, he showed down T-9 on a 3-Q-J-K-2 board whilst his opponent mucked and left the table.

Really sorry but the 30k for Jen's stack was a mistype, she only had 10 big blinds going back after this last break.  She just found her spot with 55 and was called by 88.  The cruelty of this game pounced again and let Jen hit a 5 on the flop but an 8 on the turn to end it all.  She still grinded awesomely and kept her head the whole time.

any chance you could check what time we need to be back tomorrow maria please. I am gonna get some kip and need to know what time to set my alarm for just in case I do a womble and sleep for 16 hours (I'm sure he's asleep at the felt most of the time)

3pm once more.

Rupert has added to his stack, knocking out another player with Jacks against Ace Queen. Looks to have about 140k now. Easier than the sunday donkaments...

Marc Goodwin has doubled through Anthony Huges with vs

Flop:

Marc Goodwin gets up.

Turn:

Marc Goodwin sits down.

Pete Linton is running bad, he was just forced to chop a pot with K-J vs Chicken Joe's K-T on a K-3-3 board after the turn brought another 3, but not only that, Nick Hicks has driven home but with all of Pete's spare clothes still in the car...

Jerome Bradpiece managed to doubleup with his last hand of the night, vs . He had the face of a mischevious child that had got away with it afterwards.

Phew, it got busy at the end there!

Maria is just writing up the last couple of hands, but it looks as though Rupert Elder ('Rupert' on blonde) is going to be the chip leader going into Day 2.

Big hand right at the end involving NiK Persaud, Marc Goodwin & Jim Bedson.  Goodwin made it 3,600 UTG +1 and was called instantly by his neighbour Persaud.  It passes round to Bedson in the small blind who moves all in.  It is 8,800 more Marc & Nik to call.  Marc declares he is all in and Persaud asks for a count of exactly how much Goodwin has left....

After mumbles from Goodwin that perhaps Nik is trying to waste time, Nik says he is serious and wants to now who much.  The dealer says 25,400 total to Nik to call.  Marc then puts the clock on Nick and with 4 secs to spare, Persaud whispers "passsss" and turns over 10's.  We see the hands and not what Persaud wanted to see:

Goodwin
Bedson

The board came King high and nothing else, Persaud gets away although he would have had the side pot of 16,600 from Goodwin.  As it stands Bedson doubled up and Goodwin still in but a little bit lighter in chips on 17k.
