Flipper Walsh's lunch of soup and sambos seems to have done the trick winning a nice big pot in one of the earlier hands since play resumed. Flipper started the ball rolling making opening the pot to 400 in mid position with   . He got one caller, Stephen Crawford, who was on the button.

Flop

Flipper checks, Crawford bet 1800 and Flipper quickly calls.

The turn brings a

Walsh now with a pair again checks and then calls the Crawford bet which this time was 3800.

The river comes a

Again Flipper checks but this time the bet is tasty. Its big and Flipper is in the tank. "7000 to call" exhales the dealer in a way which nearly shows felt pity for the decision of Cork's fav poker son. After several moments though Walsh makes the good call and his one pair is good. Crawford mucks. The table congratutate with shouts of "good call" all round. Flipper Walsh now has just under 30,000

Go Flipper!

Bobby O'Donnell is out.

Teammate Pat Kenneally, meanwhile, is fairing similarly poorly, his 3.6k call on the River of a board being swiftly met by Richie Lawlor's .

There was one of those awkward post-morten pauses as Pat seemed hesitant to muck, the silence eventually broken when someone observed, "I'm assuming he hasn't got A-J then." I think Pat was right be a tad stunned though, as he had Aces and obviously didn't expect them to be beat, even if his final call on the river did appear to be a painful, and almost reluctant one.

For some people poker is the most entertaining game in the world. For others its just another day at the office. One such gentleman is so disilluisioned with the goings on that he's taken to the daily crossword for entertainment.

Can I just comment please, there is NO resemblance whatsoever between Gary & this McLovin person, IMHO

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

This rather unfocused chap is Alex Collyer, who, I hear, plays at the Blazing Saddles Club. He's currently on 13,725.

Your current chip leader is Kieran Walsh, currently bearing a smile wider than a Cheshire Cat on widescreen with just under 60,000.

The fortures of team Sideshow has got, well, eh......... betworse. That is things are looking both up, and down, eh, if you know what I mean.... Okay okay I'll explain my nonsence.

We already reported Flipper was rocking with the best of them with his near chip lead stack, but now he has gone and taken the outright chip lead! Flipper is now very much the shark with 60,000 in chips.

Elsewhere however Sideshow Bob has been eliminated. Pushing all-in with   generally isnt considered the wisest of moves and things didn't change today. Called by Dan Bolton with   the high cards held.

As you can see things are looking betworse for team Sideshow

Any one think these dinner vouchers really are quite easy to counterfit?

Elsewhere Padraig Kavanagh, Muriel O Neil and Rapper (it could also be wrapper/as in a kit kat wrapper) are both OUT

I don't think Britney's done too well there.

Surely this chap shouldn't be overlooked?

*****BADCAWL ALERT*****
Steven has stepped it up a gear and is now on 40k...ish

Joe has lost a blind or two, but no action otherwise and is on 29k

Victor would be delighted for a bit of action at this stage as he's still grinding away with 6.5k at the minute

Ger..........is..................OUT   Sorry fans, but not to worry.  There's still plenty of Badcawl left.
