25 minutes to break time and amazingly, AMAZINGLY there are still no eliminations. I'm starting to think this is a set up in a "get me the glass hammer and some rubber nails sort of way".

Anyway heres some break-approaching chip counts:

Mick Stephens 12,000
Nicky Power 12,200
Carl O' Donnell 24,000
Wes Farrell 12,900
Tony Baitson 11,400 (with 3000 in 100 blacks chips-keep stealing those blinds!)
Derry O Sullivan 9,800
Vera Duffy 21,100
Pat Storan 13,400
Mick Doran 11,600
Bomber Nolan 13,800
Richie Lawlor 10,800
Dan Bolton 25,000
Keith Cummins 10,500
Sideshow Bob 4,900
Connie O' Sullivan 10,200
Albert Kenny 17,000

If you want chip counts of a player in the tournament which your supporting/interested in/or just general stalking, give us a shout

Why is Sideshow Bob called Sideshow Bob cos I fail to see the resemblance?

Who is he really?!?

My apologies in advance, but I am in severe lookalikey mood today. Anyhow, surely this formula should make it into all good maths books?...

James Atkin + The Milkybar Kid = Lorcan Dooley

Bizzarely, he wasn't christened Sideshow Bob, so you're right to be suspicious. His real name is in fact Michael O'Brien.

Have seen him around Ireland a few times, but never had a chat...until today.  We were sat at the bar (there's a shocker) having the ole chat before the start.  Talked about this and that, but nothing which would give me any clues as to how he was christened 'Sideshow Bob'.  Will say that he was lovely to chat with.  Not at all what I expected.  Not exactly sure what I expected, to be honest, but I got a hop.  Leave it with me.  Will have the whole sordid tale before the night is out.

I bet when Hugh Hefner dies, you won't hear anyone say, "He's in a better place."

Player Gone!!!!!!!!

Short stack Patrick Burke raises from from the cut-of to 450, Eddie Gorman Re-raises from BB to 1500 and Patrick Burke goes all-in for 4600. Gorman calls.

Burke
Gorman

No clubs or aces and Patrick Burke (pictured earlier with his happy team-mates) is our first elimination

Elsewhere Jimmy Kenny has recieved a timely double up with that nice hand . Getting it all in pre/flop Kenny was delighted to see his dejected opponent flip   . No miracle King and the cooler (birrrrrrrr) is complete.

Moments before the break, Derry O'Sullivan won a nice pot with Pocket Queens on a . His opponent called 3k on the River with to leave Derry as happy as Larry, whoever this mystical Larry character might be.

Gary Power is short (in chips and height), but he just doubled up his shortstack with A-K versus Fives, a King on the Turn saving his bacon and leaving him with circa 3k.

During the all-in, tournament director Neill Kelly announced, "We have an all-in, I think that's Gary Power, although it's hard to tell if he's standing up or not."

I have to agree, he is rather a wee fella, but he's enjoying the... ahem craic. (English people really don't sound right when they use that phrase, do they?)

Early pace setter Dan Bolton has taken a hit. He called a 4k River bet from Matt Dobbins on a , but could only tap the table in defeat when his foe turned over . As a result, Dan if back down to 19k.

The players are still on their dinner break, but will be making their way back to the cardroom shortly. Play is due to recommence in 8 minutes.
