Commiserations to Mick Doran who is mopping around the room with a face splashed with missery. A bad beat in a tournament costing pot is a tough one to take. I would like to emphasise that although the fish with chips team is now in last position of the four remaining teams, they can still win this years team event.

As things stand based on points count the positions are as follows

1)John Rogers
2)Noel Kelly
3)Matt Dobbins
4)Richie Lawlor

Elsewhere Anthony Lynch is OUT,  no good against  on a K-high flop and we are now down to 13 players

fuck sake, unlucky isnt the word mick

A horrible beat for Mick Doran puts the once commanding position of Team Fish With Chips into serious jeopardy. Dominating foe Patrick Dunphy with against , a two row thick crowd swamped the table to witness Dunphy Flop a Nine on a board. His team celebrated in triumph with multiple pats on the back as a deflated Mick Doran was forced to wallow in the numerous consolidating remarks and make a sharp turn towards the exit.

As a result of that beat, Team Fish With Chips are demoted to 4th place with Team John Rogers leading the pack, closely followed by Team Noel Kelly.

The hand that crushed Anthony was against Dave Mahony. I didn't see the action, but when I joined, the board read three diamonds , Dave had , and all the chips were flowing in his direction. At that point, Lynch was down to 25k, and it wasn't long before he hit the deck.

Huge pot for Colin Fardy.

All the money went in on a flop of  Two Diamonds .

Fardy
O Neil

The turn  and river  three diamonds means O Neil is out and we are down to 12.

Chip counts to follow

It looks like Nicky Power is the current chip leader with just over 300k, although Colin Fardy isn't far behind.

Matt Dobbins is OUT. Holding  he was in a race against Colin Fardy's

The board of  Two Clubs looked safe for the pocket pair but a  on the river means Fardy doubles up and is now contesting the chip lead.

Richie Lawlor now needs to come 8th or better (kinda like the E part of the WSOP HORSE event) in order for his team to make the money otherwise Dobbins team will land third. incidently already gauranteed a money finish are the teams Rogers and Kelly

"Ship me the chips!" exclaims the boisterous Richie Lawlor as he pushes in over the top of John Burke.

Having already put 20k into the pot, John Burke dwells momentarily before making the call for Lawlor's remaining 80k, but before he has a chance to reveal his , Lawlor proudly flips the Pocket Rockets, , and stands on his chair excitedly.

The Two Diamonds two hearts is a complete miss for John, whose stack takes a severe dent. Lawlor meanwhile is triumphant in victory, a quick thump of the table followed by the usual, but admittedly amusing, "ship it over here" speech.

"Let's see Fardy raise me now," he adds.

That Lawlor's a rascal, and if he makes it to 8th place, then he'll be a winning rascal.

Colin Fardy is easily the chip daddy with around 800 thousand, approximately half the chips in play. Blimey!

Just to clarify, there are 10 players remaining with an average stack of 192,000 and blinds of 4k/8k(500).

We have our bubble boy and it's Dave O Mahony. In an all-in coup pre/flop, Dave O Mahany flips  only for Waterford golden boy Nicky Power to turn over  . The board of  two hearts was no help to the all-in O Mahony and we are down to the final table.

Chris Fardy has taken a knock or two, but still remains the chip leader with 540,000. Here he is not too many moons ago when his stack was a little healthier.

Chris Fardy raises it up to 24,000 pre-flop, Patrick Dunphy calls, and so do Richie Lawlor and Noel Kelly in the small and big blind respectively.

Flop =

Richie checks, Noel checks and Chris bets 65,000.

Patrick folds, Richie folds and, after a scratch of the chin, head and whatever other body part was at hand, Noel folds face up.
