So what is your team then diceman

who would you play instead of carrick?

Like Inthebelly I won't declare team as I haven't been watching much overseas football so not really upto date on who's the best. This however doesn't stop me from commenting on others selections but I only do that when I truly think a selection is really unbelievable.

As for who I would play instead of Carrick, for me you can choose anyone from Messi, Deco, Ambrosini, Viera, Nedved, Gerrard and Kaka. I'm sure there are many others but Carrick doesn't even make a premiership team IMO as doesn't Carragher.

I also don't understand the love in for Mascherano. He was a failure at WestHam, he hasn't exactly set the EPL alight with Liverpool either, yet he is making the WorldXI based on a few games in the ECL?

(I am a Liverpool fan, to declare my biases up front, and I really dont care about defences, so i will pick the best ideas from every one else.)

(I am playing 4-4-2 and I am not picking the best 6 front players but rather the 6 that fit best in these places)

                 Casillas

Lahm      Nesta     Terry     Abidal

Ronaldo   Essien    Kaka      Ronaldinho

          Torres   Van Niestelroyd

You haven't watched him play week in, week out then.  The fella is top, top class.

The reason he didn't play at West Ham was nothing to do with ability.  It was to do with money.

Not so much current as last 4/5 years although all are still playing

Gk Buffon
RB Puyol
CB Nesta
CB Cannavaro
LB Maldini
RM C.Ronaldo
CM Xavi
CM Kaka
LM Messi
S Eto'o
S Larsson (Capt)

Can't believe no one has put Xavi in, the guy is immense. Also Lahm is a left back not a right back.

Essien ahead of gerrard? interesting.

I dont trust Gerrard to stay in a defensive roll, and i am not willing to play him ahead of Kaka.
