Thanks peeps for your messages.  ACE2M - for sure I was relieved that the A hit, no offence to Marcel but another moment heads up with him (and him with chips) I could not handle lol.

Yes all the heats, the semi AND the final were all filmed in one week in Cardiff last October.  So I am willing to take pm's including promises of money in exchange for results

ps - not really ffs

Regardless of how the final turned out, you should be very proud of yourself for making it that far with a group that were no walk in the park.  Absolutely delighted for you!!!

Pardon me for not having the time to "de-corporate-ise" this incoming e-Mail from the aptly named Warren Lush, but the gist of the message is this - Chili takes on the Big Boys in the Late Night Poker Semi-Final, TONIGHT, on TV.

Does she have the minerals? that's the question. The winner - & ONLY the winner - advances to the Final.

Those that know the result, please keep schtum, until after it's been broadcast, thanks.

SEMI-FINAL OF PARTYPOKER LATE NIGHT POKER ON TUESDAY NIGHT

Gibraltar – 2nd March 2008 -- PartyPoker Late Night Poker is approaching the end of its run on screens on Channel 4 in the UK and Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 12.10am sees the semi-final of the event followed by two episodes covering the final on March 11th and March 18th.

The semi-final features the runners-up from all seven heats vying for one place in the Grand Final. The line-up features top UK player Maria Demetriou, ‘Flying Dutchman’ Marcel Luske, WSOP bracelet holder Praz Bansi, Polish television presenter Agnieszka Rylik, Marc ‘Mr Cool’ Goodwin, France’s Pascal Perrault and former champion Simon Trumper.

A PartyPoker.com spokesman said: “The semi-final line-up is very strong. Every single player was desperate to gain the prestige of making the final of the event that started it all.”

The heat winners who have already secured their place in the final include serial televised tournament winner Ian Frazer, German bracelet holder and 2007 Premier League runner-up Eddy Scharf, Surinder ‘The Cobra’ Sunar, WPT and EPT champion Roland De Wolfe, Swedish online qualifier Andreas Jörbeck, 2008 Premier League winner Andy Black and 2007 Late Night Poker Masters champion David Tighe. Amongst those who failed to make the final or semi-final include Dave “The Devilfish” Ulliott, man of the moment Julian Thew, WSOP Europe winner Annette Obrestad, Ram Vaswani, Padraig Parkinson, Barny Boatman, Joe Beevers, Donnacha O’Dea, Robert Williamson III, Jen Mason and Jon Kalmar.

Late Night Poker revolutionised people’s perception of poker when the tournament was first broadcast on Channel 4 in 1999 and was the first to use under the table cameras. The total prize pool for 2008 is $335,000 ($90,000 added by PartyPoker) with $125,000 going to the eventual winner. There were 49 players paying a $5000 including ten online qualifiers who won their seats in exclusive online tournaments on PartyPoker.

Coverage of the event was filmed by Presentable and is presented by Vicky Coren, with Thomas Kremser the Tournament Director. Presentable also produced the coverage of the successful PartyPoker Poker Nations Cup event for Channel 4 which takes place again in April.

That was classic.  Cheesy
Also if only Simon would have called that bet and who knows what might have happened, but can understand why he folded.

Not entirely sure how many BB's but it was a lot.  Why? I guess only Marcel can answer that one, but from where I was sitting I think it was just an exercise in chest beating.  With Pascal gone and me and Simon hardly big stacks, Marcel "only" had us two in the blinds.  Maybe he was sending out a message to what I would think in his mind were a "weak" player and a "tight" player!!  In anycase he did me a huge favour - thanks Marcel.

Initialy, watching the show I seriously hated that shove with the Aces, but I guess it is easy when you can see both sets of cards.  On reflection, If I had checked would Marcel of hung himself? Im not sure.  I think I put Marcel on a strong hand and he still could have called with any high pair - but hey ho, 9 times out of 10 I am checking on that flop but sometimes your mouth acts faster than your brain!!

Thanks Tracey  Kiss  I think the game lasted about 4 hours.  We had 5,000 chips and a 25 min clock, which I was a little fazed at when I found out.  Just assumed a game like this would be at least a 30 minuter!  So in answer to your question LOADS was cut.  I have said this before, just so so wished it was an hour an half show rather than an hour.  So much gets lost in translation so to speak.

God knows how he passed, Chilli either had everything or nothing and its hard to have everything when she has limp called a raise on that flop!
