And seeing as Legume is watching, here is Ms Jen Mason, sat next to Burnley John. Says she, "I'm ok. I've won a few, lost a few." Says Burnley John, "Yeah, she's won a few small ones and lost a few big ones!"
Eek, my one percent!

Especially for Tony, your buddy the awesomely-monikered Karim Vegas:
He didn't say anything funny, sorry, he just sort of said, "Oh right, thanks, ok". Most disappointing.
Karim is currently sharing a table with the likes of Ben Vinson, Richard Gryko, Jan Magnus Brevik and Josh Gould, but is struggling with 5,275.

I've always found Burnley John to a caring, considerate and fun table companion. He is such a wit.

And here is our new friend Mr Snicker, sat next to
Kevin
O'Leary
:
"Is he sponsored by Snickers," I inquire to the bemusement of my colleagues.
Then follows an array of chocolate based names, including Toby Lerone, Bo Ounty, Mal Teser, T Wix. Genius!

According to the horse's mouth (aka, Jonathan Raab), Ram Vaswani is a non-runner.

John Gale B (the one on table 12) has won a 5k-or-so pot largely off of Michael Ellis. The board read
and Gale showed
before Ellis mucked.
---------------------------------
Meanwhile Dervis Ozkarapinar managed to get himself virtually all in with about 150 chips behind on the river of a
board, but his opponent (I believe an as yet unnamed alternate) passed. Looks like he's on 5 or 6k here, and incredibly unhappy.

On Table Devilfish, Bardi Rajah (owner of Inexplicable Cap Of The Day, incidentally) has won a pretty hefty pot. The flop is
- it Tim Flanders bets 800, and Victor Foster and Rajah call. Devilfish and Mark Segal, who had limped in/checked blinds, get out of the way.
Turn -
and they all check.
River -
- and it checks to Karim, who bets a conservative-given-the-circumstances 1200; Flanders and Foster pass. Bardi Rajah shows
for the straight flush. "I was worried one of you had the Ace..."

A minor correction from before, it was Brian Johnson who demolished poor old Barry Neville with Quads. As a result, Brian is now on 23k and one of today's early pace setters.

Still on Table Devilfish, in fact the very next hand, Devilfish limps in utg. Anthony Roux raises from the button; Blinds Bardi Rajah and John Gale A call, as does Devilfish.
Flop -
- Devilfish bets 600, and everyone calls. Everyone at the table seems to be refusing to respect everyone else's bets currently. I do not know why.
Turn -
- now it checks to Roux, who bets an almost-pot-sized 2400. This is now too big a bet for everyone to disrespect. Rajah and Gale A fold; Devilfish calls.
River -
- Devifish checks, and Roux bets again. Devilfish calls.
Devilfish -
Anthony Roux -
to take the pot.

With all the updates I do and all the subsequent faces I see, the updating brain can sometimes turn to mush and the old brain cells (many of which have been killed off during my teenage years) tend to forget a few of those players that I have witnessed on previous occasions. So, when this chap pictured below said hello, I couldn't help but say hello back and pretend I remembered him. As is the usual response, I asked him how he'd been and hesitated awkwardly before he finally spotted my discomfort and reminded me that he was one of my foes in this very same comp in December. In fact, like me, he's also a local(ish), residing in Edgware just north of my humble abode, the last stop on the underground incidentally. If I ever fall asleep on the tube back to Hampstead, I'll be sure to pay him a visit. Anyhow, he's a very pleasant fellow who's currently steady eddie (whoever this mysterious Eddie guy might be) with 9,500.
