ok,

some Jen's updates ?

some Devilfish's and Nicolas Levi's too ?

Not sure about Devilfish or Nicholas, I'll be back with those counts in a bit, but Jen herself has pulled well into the reckoning with a handsome stack that is around the 54k mark I believe.

I was sure that the cumulative avalanche of chips gravitating with almost inevitable accuracy toward Jen's stack would result in her delivering me a soundbite that was full of poise, confidence and verve.

This was her grandiloquent statement.

"Biscuits, like bring me biscuits man. I need biscuits, seriously, like just give me some biscuits. Please!!!"

There we have it. Jen employing all the literary, imaginative skills at her disposal to ask for some bloody digestives. The cat is happy to turn waiter though, if it increases Jen's chances.

"Ok Jen, they're on their way."

Other assorted counts from the midst of the arena.

Kevin O'Leary 37k
Bambos 33k
Marc Goodwin 16k, although he seemed more interesting in Pietersen smashing a kiwi spinner for 6, the nearby TV showing footage of the current England New Zealand game. Marc!
Anthony Quinn 49k
Nick Gibson 8.5k
Ian Cox 11.5k
Richie Allen 27k

There are moments left before the end of level 9, where there will be a short hiatus where the players can rest their weary limbs (and stuff their faces with biscuits).

Other requests will be followed up shortly!

I think Terry Simpson is Tornado on Blue sq......Got a mad/aggressive game to say the least.....

Coincidentally, I just took a random shot of Terry Simpson, unaware that he had a fan on the sidelines. Anyhow, here he is, slowly but surely recovering from that bluff gone wrong against Dunwoodie.

The Rise and Fall of Bambos

After eliminating Andrew Andreou with A-T versus A-J on a 9-T-3-A-2 board, Bambos' near 50k stack then went hurtling towards the now chip leader Brian Johnson. I didn't personally catch the hand in question, but according to my source, it was a Big Slick versus Queens affair with all the chips flying in on a Jack high Flop. As a result, a stunned Bambos is on his way home (well, the cash game) whilst Brian Johnson jumps into the lead with well over 100k in chips.

It's not often a serious conversation with John Duthie is interrupted with a rugby tackle from an intoxicated Alex Martin, but that's what happened just moments ago, my legs being whipped from underneath and my head going hurtling towards the roof. "We're on the piss," declares a wobbly Alex. No shit, Sherlock!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Those requested updates and current chip counts -

Devilfish has around 50k, although it looks like more because they're largely in low-denomination chips. Young girlfriend is nowhere to be seen, although he keeps nipping off somewhere so she may be in the bar or similar.

Nicolas Levi, I'm afraid, is nowhere to be seen, presumed for the moment busted.

Terry Simpson - around 35k.

Kevin O'Leary has dropped a few since those counts as well - he's down to 7k or so and not long for this tournament, barring double-ups and things, which can obviously happen. Lord it's late. More press sandwiches!

Kevin O'Leary is OUT.

"I'll give you the simple story. Sevens v Queens. Gone."

"In the immortal words of Shakespeare," he continues. "F*** poker."

That Shakespeare was a right potty mouth!

Jen has been adding to her hefty stack with probably alarming regularity. She took a 6k pot out of the mouths of the children of Ashley Gorman, betting 4.5k on an flop.

A few hands later she took a similar-sized pile of chips away from the elderly ailing parents of Jeremy Longley, calling his 4k utg raise, and then, after checking down the three clubs two hearts board, delightedly discovering that that her was good.

Speaking to Mickey Wernick on the sidelines, he was keen to pick the brains of the blonde poker audience and grab a few opinions on his exit hand.

So...

Blinds = 150/300

Mateyboy = 10k
Barny Boatman = 12k
Mickey Wernick = 15k

Mickey finds in early position and raises to 700. Barny and Mateyboy both call.

Flop = Two Clubs three clubs

Barny checks, Mickey makes it 1.2k and Mateyboy re-raises to 2.6k.

Barny re-re-raises to 6k, Mickey moves all-in, Mateyboy and Barny both call.

Barny = three diamonds

Mateyboy = two hearts Two Diamonds

The set of Deuces hold up.

"Ask them what they think of my play, Snoops. Should I have got away from it or was I right to push all-in?"

Over to you guys, all opinions appreciated, even Flushy's.

LOOOOOOLLLLLL

GO Jen !!

Jpean, you are probably my favourite poster on blonde.

Having said that, I don't have a clue what you are talking about here...

I am not one to give up a linguistic puzzle easily though, so I had a brainwave(with some assistance from Dana). Perhaps what you wrote makes perfect sense in French! AHA!

How about if I run your confusing prose through babelfish from english to french and back to english again. A plan that can't fail.

Here were the results...

", as bring the biscuit man to me. I need biscuits, seriously, as just gives me some biscuits. Please! !!"

JPEAN: After that, it "dare" to rectify me here "am much larger in true life" LOOOOOOLLLLLL DISAPPEAR Jen! !

Wow, Jpean, that's a bit harsh but it did make me laugh lol

Anyway to prove she is just crazy about biscuits, here she is going nuts over a couple of custard creams. (Note the deranged eyes and ever so slightly TOO wide smile!)

Mark Russell is down on the alternates list as being number 2103, but I couldn't find a 2103 and there was a pair of crutches peeking from out form underneath the table between these two gents, which I obviously very nearly fell over and I think I said something embarrassing...

Anyway, is either of these boys your Mark Russell? I can tell you that Gentleman Left (down on the list as F Meoni) has around 100k, and Gentleman Right (down as a G Wilson) has around 20k.

Gentleman Right has been having a pretty poor time of it, it looks like. I saw him lay his hand down when Terry Simpson bet 3k on an board. Not much room for manoeuvre, with 20k...
