Happy to answer any questions...currently investigating hotel deals

For the time being

HOTELS

Holiday Inn    Holiday Inn

A 3* luxury hotel which has recently been beautifully refurbished throughout, giving it the refined feel of a 4*. Situated only 1½ miles from Dusk Till Dawn and a couple of miles from the town centre, it's perfectly located with FREE on-site parking. A neighbouring retail park ensures you have shops and restaurants just a few steps away.

Quote Dusk Till Dawn when making your reservation and enjoy very favourable discounts on bed & breakfast standard and executive rooms.

Hilton Hotel    Hilton

Situated in the heart of Nottingham city centre, the 4* Hilton offers guests a luxurious stay with full use of the leisure facilities. We have agreed bed & breakfast rates which are generously discounted from their standard weekday rates, however if you are visiting at the weekend, be sure to ask what the best weekend rate is for that day as it may be below our corporate rate depending on their availability. Guests can use the Trinity Square car park at a cost.

Quote Dusk Till Dawn when making your reservation.

Premier Inn    Premier Inn

The nearest Premier Inn is on Castle Marina, located 1½ miles from Dusk Till Dawn where there is free parking. There is another hotel in the city centre, situated right in the middle of the university, but guests must use the local NCP for parking.

Prices range from £50-£60 and do not include breakfast.

DRESS CODE

Whilst we understand that our members wish to be comfortable when participating in poker events, we think it important that Dusk Till Dawn enforces a smart but casual dress code.

Members who do not dress appropriately will be refused entry on the door.

The following are examples of clothing which will NOT be permitted in Dusk Till Dawn:

  Sports Trainers
  T-Shirts (Polo Shirts are acceptable)
  Tracksuits
  Shorts

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you at Dusk Till Dawn.

see the thread on this board

dtd would like everyone, for ease of catering, to have the buffet but we'll see what demand is like first

you can book online in advance for much the same price but haave to pay at time of booking with no refunds if you drop out.

running antes can be a pain especially in a tournament with a load of newbies and slow the game down.
unneccesary imo in what should be a fun comp

because its all about having fun, lots of players who'll be there with their +1's won't have played much, or they'll be pretty nervous and running antes just slow the game down also takes an extra 30 seconds for the dealers to collect them all off players and slows the game up

Anything to slow the game up is good.  Means I stay in longer.  Although there's a flaw in my plan - I need to reach the levels with an ante first...
