hi guys £30 live FO last night

71 started,6 left

so we are in the money ,just over £2k in the kitty..£130 in the bank already..

our stack is 120,000..BB at 6000,with around 500,000 in play we are a little above average in 2nd position, but a precarious position...no real short stacks ready to bust imminently...

now here's where it gets tricky..the tournament is drawing to a close in around 12 minutes..so roughly 8-10 hands left

and prizes allocated according to chip positions at the last hand..

we are UTG with  and raise to 20k..all fold to the BB who calls and we see a flop of     three diamonds..he then pushes for his stack which to me is another 51k..we have been a little liberal with this player, taking away any limps he trys and maybe my image was a little aggressive to him,but in saying that i think he has a good hand here..

ok call and win the pot to take the tourney most probably..

or call and lose and be the small stack on 50k

or fold

a lot to think about here,I took a full 2 minutes to make a decision..wot would u do?

9 diamonds + 2 overs probs.  15 outs x 2. which is like ev's

getting 94/51 (1.8/1) on the pot its a call.

+ he could easily have a smaller FD so ur good anyway.  but yeah i defo call here.

by delaying 2 minutes before calling, with 8 mins left before chip count, its sort of EV negative to delay!

if you lose you are push botting, maximum time required to do so and get back into it!

i know what you  are saying ,but to me this was like a £300-400 decision and not just a win lose thing, that was what i was mulling over...

If you fold you make 300£ more? Easiest fold in the world then.

Why raise so big pre?

it was my standard raise when i hit the FT,i was asking myself that throughout the FT actually, but i didnt want to mix it up too much so i stuck with it throughout..worked for me this time..got a lot through with it

but probably un-necessararily too big

sometimes min raises do the job as well,,,but i kinda set the tone..oops

what does he push with on that flop?  Seems to me that he had made his mind up pre flop that he was calling and pushing any flop!!??!

I don't get the shove tbh, but I think the easiest think to do here is put him on a smaller flush, but what does he call 14 with pre flop?  perhaps???

ok

my agressive image backfired a little here

even though i showed him  to a recent limp from him which i raised..

he must have been antsey

I called ,i thought stuff it , i want the win..only one to get that is get the chippies

i call...he had

so he took away 3 of my outs ( but added another 4 on the turn ) and after running the numbers i'm a slight underdog

turn and river both kings

and im low man

oh well,I think im always calling here though, maybe next time i wont brick out
