£500 entry festival
Level 1 blinds 25/50 10000 starting stack down to 9500.

Opponent is wearing a Mansion cap (probably satellited in) and has been playing relatively solidly, not playing a huge number of hands and this is the first serious pot of the day.

UTG (seat 3) I limp 50 with   and there is a raise to 150 in seat 5 followed by a call and then a raise to 600 by opponent in seat 1 (sb). I reraise to 1600 which is called by the sb.

the flop comes

sb checks, I bet 2000 sb calls

turn is  and sb goes all in for 5000.

What i his range and should I call for my tournament life?

Difficult spot to find yourself in, firstly I dont like the limp with KK, secondly I think you have to raise more than 1000 when SB makes it 600.  As for his range, I really dunno he re-pops to 600 then calls another 1k then check calls a raggy board and pushes the turn I can't see him doing this with 35, 58, T9 etc so you have to think its a PP, has he hit a set?

I'm not sure I find it difficult to assign a range without having played the player/watched him or seen him play before looks like an OP to me I call and he has TT or JJ and spikes a set on the river.

If he is good fold, if he is bad fold. If he is not bothered about the comp call.

I hate the limp.

It "looks" like he's turning a made hand into a bluff. Snapcall this puppy and dodge his 2 outs. LOL @  Flushy, "if he is good fold". Opponent knows ur hand, opponents bluffing frequency increases as this is like the best board for floating in the world. If he had a set he gets it in on flop to stop scare card dropping, which it does. 55 only hand you should be worried about. If ur gonna play ur hand so face-up OP, rr more preflop please. Expect to see 99-QQ a bunch here.

Exactly so is he really going to c/c oop with worse if he is a good player? Remember these are £500 animal fests, not highly skilled poker fields.

so if I'm reading this a year ago, I'd be internet qualifier = fish, now I'm thinking internet qualifier = prob good player.

if you play FR cash you need to balance your limping range by limp/reraising occaisionally. If you're in a tournament why bother?

pretty sure that mr. internet qualifier has you on a very tight range here.

OP has one of 2 hands, which he broadcasted early in the hand, neither of which he can call with on this board. If villain is decent none of his range should have connected with this board anyway given shit implied pre. Hence he takes my money. Looks like QQ turned into a bluff for me.

Good player with QQ check folds for the 2k on the flop.

He could have 88, that would make the c/c on the turn credible.
