£0.50-£1 cash game. Effective stacks between hero & villain 150BB. Hero is tight passive and hasnt been in many pots. Villain is tight. But has put in 40BB with less than top pair, has since topped up and is winning.

Hero is dealt  . 2 folds Villain calls Hero is MP2 calls 3 additional callers and big blind checks. Pot is £7.00ish

Flop is  . Villain bets £7, Hero calls £7 4 folds.

Turn is  Villain bets £15, Hero calls £15

River is  Villain bets £25, Hero calls £25

Showdown Hero has two pairs Kings and Jacks. Villain has  set of 5's.

I feel i could have changed my line slightly to have had a better result, what do we think to a raise to £23 ish on the flop and than fold to a £65 £70ish reraise?

Probably the 2nd worst possible line, the worst being fold the flop, the 3rd worst would be the line you took.

WTF? you should be annoyed with yourself you didnt go broke here. Ur scared of 1 hand realistically and valuetowning everything else in villains range. RAISE FLOP, JAM TURN stop worrying about hands that beat you and  attempt to make more money from a likely winning hand.

Folding at any point is horrendous. Oh yeah, raise pre too.

villian has let you off very lightly, once ive seen you call two streets im making it more like £50 on the river. Never ever fold this in live cash unless car keys and mortgages start apperaing on the table ala soap shows home games with phil mitchell and dirty dan.

I dont mind the flat call on flop, but once the turn is a blank i'm raising, 100% confident i'm ahead... Congrats for saving cash short-term, long term your losing loads here...
