surely they have to accept a level of risk when staking people they don't know?

So Brian has been staked and done what, not returned what they are due or simply lost the cash and not responded to them?

I gather from a good source, though I've not seen it, & have no intention of going looking for it, that Members of a Poker Forum in the USA are all a bit het up about Brian. As a result, they have decided, mob-handed, to all sign up to blonde to register their protest. I think we had 6 or 8 New Members sign up for this purpose overnight & today.

That'll solve everything, of course.

Ive read the thread and its still not clear with regard to the facts, Either way tho these guys seem to have a genuine grievance, Im just a bit surprised they have decided to bombard this forum, what is that going to achieve?

Still it looks like an interesting forum, maybe you should ban em all for spamming their forum anyway  Smiley

I would have thought that the European Prize Award Department would give out prizes in Euros! But at least our taxes are being well spent.

One of the guys there had a PM exchange with Brian on Blonde a couple of weeks ago wondering where the money was and Brian's reply said 'as far as I know that was sent over a month ago....let me findout...its a long story...i was out of the country and another person was playing my acct....i will make sure it is taken care of asap....thanks for letting me know.....i was told the money was sent back and I never got any more emails about it....'

With no further contact from Brian they decided to bring it to our wider attention.

I'll post it and if it is out of line they can delete it - they have proven skill in this area!  Tongue

ThePersonInQuestion comes to PTP - "Hello everybody I am **********, Bracelet winning poker player (I will not roll), writing an article on staking and money behind poker. I will become an excellent member of this site (I will not roll) for my research and it looks like fun. I am also mates/mentored by Dave Colclogh (I will not roll) and a member of Blonde forums (I will not roll). Here are my wikipedia and pocketfives entries (I will not roll).

Let's try this Buy A Piece thing out. I will play x games in this month for which I will need $4500.

PTP members (including me) - Here is $4500 ThePersonInQuestion, gl!!

A month later - PTP members - Hey ThePersonInQuestion, you have only played about $600 worth of games, what's going on?

ThePersonInQuestion - Sorry, hectic life, I'll get onto it now. Let's win some money!!

Some time later... PTP members - Anyone seen ThePersonInQuestion?

A while after all of this a PTP member signed up to Blonde and sent ThePersonInQuestion a PM. His response was that he had organised someone to log in and pay back for him and that he would be on the week after to rectify it. He logged onto PTP and sent a similar message to investors. We have not heard from him since. As he was seen to be active here, a bunch of PTP members came here and started threads regarding him in the hope that he would see them or someone would tell him about them, trying to get a message to him that we are still waiting for him.

Now we all know the sayings like buyer beware etc etc. But by the same token if someone has an inkling of how to get in touch with him then they will follow that up. Normally on PTP it is harder to raise that amount of money as a new member, you would need a heller rep and references as a noob, but some of us were seduced by the bracelet and the contacts he claimed. Someone who has been there for some time and shown trustworthiness by shipping winnings and stakes to investors/horses time after time would be more likely to raise these kinds of funds and do so often. ThePersonInQuestion rolled and people are trying to encourage him to pay back.
