Great game, hats off to Arsenal.
Rotation seemed to pay off tonight. The difference for me was fitness in the second half. (Other than Theo Walcott)
I'm exhausted.
Boo - you fkn know!!!!!!

calm down, calm down ... go to the OP and see the correct prediction.
That's all well and good..
...but what did Bandit predict?
Liverpool to win by 2 clear goals

Kuyt has to go and get Babbel on
Half right. Babel decided that he would run at defenders for once, and made a difference.
Don't know if it was just me, but I thought Kuyt was our MOTM tonight. Terrific performance.
I think that Kuyt shaded it. The LB for Pool was awesome. Alonso was absolute Zokoradire.

I agree - Aurelio had a very good game (for once). Alonso and Gerrard played poorly by their standards.

Gerrard even said it was 1 of worst games he's ever played for liverpool. Still an excellent penalty and done it 4 them when he was needed

Yes, both Gerrard and Alonso were sub-standard. Mascherano was poor first half, but improved in the second. Thought Reina was dodgy as well, but the back four in front of him had good games.
Dirk Kuyt though. From a complete waste of space to a very important player for us. Crouch had a great game too, and showed why he should start more games. I thought that Torres had a few periods of the game where he looked threatening (and obviously scored) and he worked very hard.
If Arsenal had been able to sustain their game that they were playing in the first half, that would have been game over. Sami's goal seemed to knock them off their rhythm and allowed Liverpool to get back into it.
Of course there's the penalty decision too. I thought it was a penalty, but it was one of those that is given sometimes and others not. Same for Hleb's in the first leg. Looks like we got a big slice of luck with those decisions.

Yep 3 good games on trot, below avergae and fit for spurs the previous 20, from gash to class...

Just got in from what was the most perfect night of football, and a fcking big well done and UL to the arse who made that one of the best games of football I have seen and had the pleasure to be at.
Football, gives everybody something to talk about, you only need to look back at this thread and see how people have changed their minds, one team out then the other was gone..., the great thing about our beautiful game is, it gives you nights like that..
I wish I could have had you all there to see and feel it for yourself..
Liverpool & Arsenal
to giving us a brilliant game...

Thought it was a well-taken penalty. In fact it was about the only thing of note Gerrard did in the game.
