Our regular viewers may recall him from the Bahamas, his late elimination with a Flopped straight against two pair causing more than a wince from the onlooking crowd, but Asa Smith hasn't faired as well this time around. Down to just a few thousand, Asa found himself in that, and dare I use the old cliche, classic coinflip situation with A-K against Mr Zink's (sorry, you just can't tell Sebastian and Daniel apart) Pocket Queens. A 6-6-8-J-4 board later (Asa's expression appeared resigned to defeat before the final cards hit the felt) and the young Brit was sent packing.

A distinct "Argh!" exclamation deriving from Table Kabbaj lures me over with the excitement of a teenager in the Playboy Mansion, Woody Deck dealing out the pain with Q-T on a J-K-7-8-A board for the Riverered straight. The bulldog/wasp expression on Mateyboy's face signifies that it was a nasty one, but either way, another big pot goes sailing over to the Deckster, the Lithuanian now threatening the overall chip lead with 58k.

Mark Teltscher is a victim of the Table Gould. He found himself all-in with 7-8 versus John Gould's 9-8 on a Q-8-2-6 board. Blank River sealed the deal.

Incidentally, if I hadn't cropped that photo of Annette, you could have seen her rhs neighbour, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Justin Timberlake in that spoof video thing... you know what I'm talking about..

I hate to interrupt this live update with personal issues, but I just purchased a tuna sandwich for €10. I can only compare the painful feeling inside to a burst appendix.  Cry

As I now, Monaco (and so Monte Carlo) is one of the most expensive city all over Europe.

Freddy Deeb is going north and is up to 21k after calling a river bet from Andreas Hoivold on a board. Deeb showed , whilst Andreas could only muster . "Lucky Flop, lucky River, observed a dejected EPT winner.

Julian Thew is down to just 3,250 after a particularly strange hand cost him most - but not, as it might have, all - of his stack...

Seeing a flop with three diamonds which had come 2-4-K, one diamond, he called a bet there, picked up a second diamond on the turn and a third on the river.  With the small backdoor flush, he raised his opponent's 2k bet to 5,300 - it was just called with Matey's for the second nuts.  "I was lucky, really," he mused, imagining facing a river re-raise instead...

The guy with the ringbeard next to Annette was also at the same table (TV) table at the WSOPE. His name is Steven van Zadelhoff and he is one of the more succesful online tourney players. Results of 2007:

-   WSOPE main event       11th      $ 83.832
-   WPT Barcelona               7th      $ 94.273

-   Sunday million                 1st      $ 193.000
-   Sunday Million                 7th      $   38.000
-   FTOPS $ 2500               2nd      $ 294.000

Last week he won the Everest 'live the dream' contest where he won a 100K sponsordeal for 2008. He's basically freerolling here.

Oh and thanks for the updates guys. I couldn't find anywhere when Terje Augdal, Kris Ulriksen and Riise where playing so they might very well play tomorrow.
