Uhhhh, it's a HERD of Polar Bears, if I remember correctly.
And the reason that sticks in my mind is because it made no sense -- to me!
(So many 'useless' things in my lil' brain......so many opportunities to dig em out!)

A group of bears (in general) are often referred to as a sloth or sleuth.

I have only ever heard of polar bears called a pack, i await with interest someone with the correct answer

Found the answer, all I can say is ....Hmmm!

have to say though, it's a 60/40 split on the one claw is referring to, and 'pack'
