Heads up flop of
Michael bets 110k, when it’s checked to him.  Isaac Baron flat calls.
Turn:   Check to Michael, who riffles two chips (if that oneontop-otherontop thing can be called a chip trick in the true sense of the word) and checks behind.
River:   Michael, when it’s checked to him a third time, bets 200k.  The big rivercard, lack of noteiceable draws coming in and the big bet, all combine to make Baron press the Fold button.

Glen raises, Michael re-raises and Glen folds.

Michael now on 1,703,000.

This time Michael raises 80k, Glen re-raises over 200k, and Michael folds.

I'd like to take a moment here to comment on the total awesomeness of this structure. Going into this new, WHOPPING 20k/40k/4k level, the average stack is still over 60 big blinds. We could be here all night...

Denes Kalo has avoided the big showdowns thus far, but perhaps that's because he's skilled in finding his opportunities to push. Not for the first time, Denes re-raised all-in and got his opponent to fold, the victim this time being Isaac Baron after a 100k pre-flop raise.

Maxime raises pre, and Glen calls.

Yay, flop! It is Two Diamonds - again, Maxime bets and Glen calls.

Turn - two spades - and now they both check.

River - - that's a scary card - John Duthie has put Maxime on A-Q - either way, he bets 225k, which is enough to make Glen fold.

Again, Denes Kalo picks up a pot uncontested. After Isaac Baron made what the commentator referred to as a "standard raise" of 100k, Denes' reraise to 316k was enough to take it down.

HUUUUUGE pot -

Luca raises, for the first time in a good long while. Glen calls from the button; Isaac makes an interesting call from the small blind.

Flop - two hearts - Isaac checks, and Luca bets 210k. Glen calls. Isaac clearly hasn't hit, as he gets out of the way (I put him on A-Q  Roll Eyes)

Turn - - and now Luca bets a very large 500k into the already 800k pot. Glen considers, and flat calls, bringing the pot size up to an ENORMOUS 1.8 millio.

River - - and Luca bets a surprisingly small 400k. Glen calls, and is most upset to see that his pocket Sixes that were good on the turn have indeed been outdrawn by Luca's flopped-flush-drawing .

Luca Pagano now chip leader on 3.3 million.

Ahem.  From the rather slow beginning of level I have retreated into statistical analysis mode.  Let's start with a cheap shot:

DUTHIE PUTS YOU ON....

Yeah - I'm pretty new to poker, but by flat calling the turn, what did he expect to see on the river that would help him (or not worry him)?
