Just seen a big hand for the early level, andy Bradshaw re raises a pre flop raise from 200 to 500, called in 2 spots by matey boy (no player list yet) and By John Law...

Flop

Bradshaw bets 500

Call

Call

Turn

Bradshaw leads out for 1000

CAll

Call

River comes

Bradshaw bets 1500

Matey boy calls

John Law passes

ON THEIR BACKS

Bradshaw has

Matey boy tables  and scoops a healthy pot early doors.

I hear a cry of "All-in" and then more importantly, "Call!!"

I rush over, but the board reads and both players show a king. Dull dull dull. Curse you flamboyant poker players for making me care!!!

Alan 'bigalhx1' Armitage was looking grumpy after an board was added by the river, and an unwelcome 1,600 bet into a 4,000 pot which he passed to.

James Akenhead, playing short-handed at the moment...

Last year's winner here, and seemingly index-finger-swallower, Dave Colclough with a reflective Womble.

George 'WellChief' McDonald and two guys who must be vying for least imaginative blonde name ever Chris "chrisbruce" Bruce and Rob "RobS" Sherwood

Absolute pokers new "Face" Liv Boeree is sharing a table with Reyaz Mulla, Paul Parker, Ian Frazer... Live took 4k off Mulla in the first hand of the day, Mulla folding to Liv's 3k river bet.

Michael "Don't call me Beppe" Greco is OUT.

He was seen leaving the poker room saying, "So f**king sick..."

Intrigued, I followed the action back to his former table where I discovered he'd raised to 500 (blinds 25/50), 12/05 who we are told is John Morris called and then bet 1,500 into the 1,000 pot on a K-9-8 board. Greco flat-called, and then again for another 2,000 on the 6 turn. Finally his opponent set him in on the 7 river, Greco called with Aces only to discover a got-there-in-the-end Q-T.

Arguments have broken in the media room whether he played the hand right. Did he raise was too much preflop, and should he have perhaps pushed or even folded the turn instead?

Morris is now (major) with chips. Note his jealous neighbour also

Deers in headlights, Jen Mason and Steve Holden.

Gurinder Purewal, he of back-to-back dtd final table fame just lost most of his stack with Tens to Aarun Bernard's Aces on an Eight-high board.
