well done Mark (I'm sure were related ) & Nick well deserved

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k. “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi. Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Marc is understandably jubilant but Nik didn't feel too down about the last hand. "I have to call there, if I win I'm back up to 850k or so, and he moves in with a lot of Aces, but a lot of other hands too, K-Q, K-J, worse Tens."
Kev is just trying to upload the last few photos.

I am proud of this one ... the moment the river came down, and Marc knows the title is his.

Marc and the Trophy ... he was chuffed that the Manchester GUKPT trophy stays in Birmingham after Marc's good pal Dave Colcloughs victory here last year.

On that note guys, I am going to the bar and have a stiff drink ... Thanks as always to Jon Raab and all the Blue Square peeps for putting on a great event, over 300 runners and a great comp.
Thanks also to the valets & staff here at Manchester G, all top class (Apart from the bloke who was dishing out the food, I hope he recovers well from the personality bypass operation that he has undoubtedly just been through)
All in all a great trip, I will probably sleep for about 3 days solid now !!
Hope you guys enjoyed them, if not BLAME FLOPPY ...

Well done Marc and Nik. I really thought Nik's turn had come. I was even thinking of getting myself a pair of those Deirdre specs if he had won this!
