Just a quick note to all staying at The Carousel......I have just had a call from 'Carmen' & she informed me that they have a major double booking situation (blaimed the internet), she wanted to move us (myself & Dan) to the Premier Inn at the airport with the offer of a free evening meal as compo (the only food I will be consuming will be Guinness!) which I declined............I kicked off in a firm but polite manner & she called me back to say that I could stay there.

I'm sure that some of you may well get a similar call at some stage, so just wanted to give you forwarning.

We've just got back from a week in Faliraki so we're well and truly on top drinking form and looking forward to finishing off in style in sunny Blackpool.

Dear blondeites, I am so bloody envious of those of you going to Blackpool this weekend for this comp... I wish i could make it for the craic, but unfortunately i only got 2 numbers on the lotto last night

Anyway, this post is really just to say I hope you have a fantastic time and enjoy yourselves. It goes without saying that these forum games attract a fair bit of rivalry .. im sure those that were at the virgin fessie and played the forum challenge will know what i mean.

With this being an APAT event I would expect Des et al to make sure this is run in the APAT spirit, so probably nothing to be concerned about ... so have a ball and bring back the trophy, but most of all show the poker forum world why blonde is best.

i'm dithering about whether to a) do fcuk all b) play the laydeees tour in sheffield or c) come to blackpool.  In fairness, unless I cash at luton tonight it's going to be a), but I like to know what my options are!  (oh, and should probably consult the monkey at some point too )  poker schedule on their website just has forum challenge listed for saturday night.

Can I ask a stupid question that I probably should have asked a while ago, I'm guessing it's ok to just turn up with ID and join the casino on the day?

I am a member of Grosvenor in Cardiff (due to Blonde Bash) but I'm guessing that doesn't count for Blackpool aswell.

Also remember its now a G casino...dress code/shoes etc etc more stringent than an older Grosvenor

If you've got a Grosvenor membership card you should be able to just hand that over and tell them you've not been to that particular casino before and they'll add it to your card- takes about 30 seconds. better take id anyway though in case they're being awkward and definitely leave some time as there'll be loads of people needing to join.
