Ok!

Short hiatus whilst I got my malfunctioning equipment to work (cue obvious joke!) over, let me bring you some shots of the action.

As Jen related, it is HEAVING out there, the sumptuous DTD surroundings awash with a sea of largely unfamiliar Norwegian visages. Peppered amongst these faces though, are some players more familiar to myself and it is these guys who have attracted my attention at this early juncture.

First off, there is fellow updater, local player and pretty lady Maria Demetriou, who told me she had been enjoying the juicy cash games this week. "Get a picture of Gunnar Obrestad please!" she requested of me, before swooning in dramatic fashion. He's obviously walked past her wearing Lynx today.

Here she is pre-swoon, still on 10k or so...

this table I think

13 1 Christoffer Heien
13 2 Paul Gourlay
13 3 Anthony Nicholls
13 4 Barry Carter
13 5 Anders Brenden
13 6 Andreas Hagen
13 7 Kenneth Strandli
13 8 Fredrik Stenrud

Yes indeed.  There's a rope around it at some distance, so out of respect to Rod's about to walk over there wearing Kev's sign, I stayed out of it, as I think we're only going to get one shot at such shenanigans...

So, from a Slight Distance:

(a) Barry Carter

(b) Andreas Hagen

Muscleman of the Uk circuit Des Jonas has hauled his rippling frame to DTD to join in the festivities and action.

Here he is early doors, looking watchful whilst his scandinavian neighbour regards me with a mixture of suspicion and interest...

Looking for an EPT and double GUKPT winner? Here's one for thew...

Dave Smith, poker player and renowned hat wearer, has turned up ina  menacing black ensemble today, with matching hat. Clearly designed to strike fear and terror into his opponent's hearts, the effect is somewhat diminished by the presence of a small yellow squirty-water style flower on his lapel. Scary!

Behold the behatted Dave, terrorising his fellow players with his acidic stare and tiny flower...

For Lady Henshaw - here's Neil Henshaw.  He's made it to Level Two!  That's all I can tell you now, but we'll be keeping an eye on him...

You might think this was photoshopped, but believe me, Junglecat's skills in this area are somewhat limited and I have been too busy totally creating this guy out of component parts including, but not limited to:  pink glittery cowboy hat, regal cat T-shirt, jazz hands, Michael Jackson's Bad Jacket, and a Norwegian.

Actually that's not true, we are loving this guy's look and he wins Outfit of the Day.  Well done.

I take it the dress code has been somewhat relaxed for this week then?

I just want to let you know that with the best will in the world, JC had a bit of a problem locating the TV table (seeing as it is terribly well hidden in the middle of the room, separated from the other tables by a rope, surrounded by mounted cameras, with Barry Carter on it).  Instead, he managed to spot a roving camcorder on a totally different table and go talk to Barry Neville while waving this sign at Ash Hussain, who was understandably nonplussed.  He did try, though.  Bless.
