if your willing to spend the money then i'd recommend a sim card from O2. its basically a mobile phone for your laptop which alows you to surf the internet...just the thing  for when there isnt a wireless connection anywhere near by...just check for O2 signal abroad

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Surely if you're in Italy it'd be far, far cheaper to have some sort of mobile connection from Italy - rather than the UK?

I've never used wireless abroad, but I'd expect it to be ludicrously expensive if you use a UK-based provider.  Might be completely wrong, wouldn't be the first time...

I have one and they are great for the UK.  However, they cost a fortune to use abroad so are not really an option overseas TBH

guy I know ran up a £600 bill on his O2 one when he didn't realise that his unlimited usage did not apply outside of the UK.

I have a Vodaphone broadband 3g modem that works everywhere in the world. (as long as you have a mobile signal)

But the cost to use it anywhere in the world is £115 a month, but the usage is unlimited. (spent 16 weeks in Italy in the 6 months)

Lucky my company pays this for me.

FFS Flushy! That's twice we've agreed in the same year, and it's only May. At this rate we'll be co-habiting by Christmas.
