Last 18 of mtt.  Currently 3rd in chips with 370k. Big blind has 430k and has been got them all from a couple of luckyish pots where he was an underdog to win the pots.  Blinds 10k/20k.  Fold to me in SB with AKo and I raise to 40k. BB shoves.

I clearly called and lost, but what do you need to make the call here?  Is AK ok or do I need a big pair?

I have to ask as I don't make it this deep that often!

Fair do's so it wasn't that bad, thanks.

M3 obv doesn't play on Ipoker that much, although in fairness, the blinds had just gone up.

grrr, don't make me think about it retrospectively at 2am!!!  I just wanted to get the blinds.

I'm not 100% sure why I ended up min raising, I clicked the plus arrow for the raise amount 3 times and it ended up on 40k and I didn't consider that it was a min raise to be honest.  I thought about shoving but it seemed extreme and too obvious to me, but I appreciate that the min raise was equally, if not more weak.  (although I didn't see it as a min raise at the time)

Whilst I was probably always going to call a shove, perhaps raising more would have made him think more about shoving?   What would you need to shove in this position?  I had him on a wide range which is why I called.

AK and 99 BvB with like 20bb's effective is a cooler and always going in.  Hes shoving w/e you make it probs and calling a shove if you just open ship.

flip better next time though.
