Hope all is well with you & yours - I heard that there has been some pretty dreadful weather in the Philippines, a huge typhoon apparently.
Hi Tikay, yes there has been another typhoon (Pablo) but as like most of them it hit the South of the Country hardest, Mindanao region, and fortunately we are in the North and by the time it gets that far it has generally blown out to sea.
The family at home are well, except for Roxannes Fathers ongoing condition.
Life is much the same here for Roxanne and I, just counting the day's now until Junior should be making an appearance. (Jan 20/21).....
Latest update on Typhoon Pablo from www.philstar.com MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - The death toll from typhoon Pablo in the Philippines rose to 1,046, a senior official said today.
National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Executive Director Benito Ramos said the 1,046 fatalities included 599 who died in Compostela Valley and 391 from Davao Oriental.
The accounting of three more fatalities brought down the number of missing from 844 as of Monday to just 841. More than half, or 471, of the missing are from Compostela Valley.
Ramos said Pablo displaced more than 6 million people, of which only 25,953 persons are housed in 63 evacuation centers. The typhoon also damaged more than P24 billion ($584.79 million) worth of crops and infrastructure.
