I'm a Bears fan myself.
They were very good in the 80's when it was on channel 4 but are pretty ave nowadays.
Used to play when I was younger too.

yep, don't think any other coach would even call for a throw there let alone that play. run it 2 yards and you've won the game, if not it only a 30 yd fg to win it
how's your knowledge of Spurrier? he seems to have gone straight from being the best paid coach in the NFL to coaching college football. any idea if that's cos he used to call crazy plays like this at the Redskins?

Huge ego, successful college coach in Florida..went to NFL and rubbed up his players the wrong way. His style, aggressive and gambling, was also far more easily countered in the Pros where the defenses are so much better and plays have a lot less time to develop. In the play you linked to it was a good 8-10 seconds beofre the throw came...you get 4-5 seconds in the pros
Went to S Carolina where he can be big boss, with fewer pressures and still be paid $$$$$
the ex Atlanta coach Bobby Petrino, and Pete Carroll at USC are similar.....

I have watched American Football since the mid 80's and always followed Chicago Bears as 'my' team.
IMO it is the best of the American games by far, and also one of my most profitable betting markets.
Having looked at the odds for the Superbowl this season, the value to me is Dallas Cowboys at 10/1.
What do you think Tighty? Who do you fancy to win it? And where do you think the value is in the market?

Minnesota in the NFC
Pittsburgh in the AFC
Value bets at 33-1 each
favourite wise..the likes of the usual suspects Colts, Chargers,Patriots inthe AFC and Cowboys etc int he NFC will be there or thereabouts in the play offs

think a decent bet may be who has the most passing yards, dont think the big fav brady will win this season, so looking for a bet, manning should do well but has to have a surgery and wil be out for 6 weeks , ,not sure how bad it will affect his season, no cert but 5/1+ for brees may be a good bet
