1000 and counting

Now i dont post that often on here compared to most, but i've now reached 1000 posts. As this now seems to be the Blonde tradition to make this a landmark post (i'm never going to get to 10000 posts!!), it seems natural to put down my limited thoughts.
I've been on the Blondepoker forum since the very beginning (Jan 29 2005 in fact). I'd only started playing Poker at the beginning of that same month. I decided to move onto Poker from playing Magic: The Gathering, as i thought it would be nice to try and make some money from a hobby.
Without the forum, i would not have met lots of very good people, and i would not have progressed in learning the game. I had only been to my local casino a couple of times before BlondeBash 1, so it was quite a nervous journey up to Birmingham on my own. However, i was quickly welcomed into the fold, and when i sat down at my table for the game and had Simon Trumper on my table, i was detemined to watch and learn.
I'm still learning this game, and blonde is the best place to do it. Sure, there are some arguements on the forum, but as a whole in cannot be faulted. I dont envy the mods job on here, but they do a heck of a good job.
I only play small stakes poker, but there have been a few highlights to my 'poker career' so far. Winning the DTD sponsored monthly league on here last year was one of them, as was winning the mini league in January, and a chance to play the Stanleys £500. Now i've been lucky enough to win the APAT Irish Open, and as a result, i get to play the GUKPT event in August. This will be my biggest tournament to date, and im really looking forward to it.
Anyway, thats enough of my ramblings.
The future is bright, the future is Blonde.
