James milner to Liverpool? Surely he wouldn't hand in a transfer request to go to villa?! Disappointing either way.

Does he play most games in his fav position? if not makes perfect sense.

United were singing "He comes from Serbia, hes gonna murder ya" to him on Monday ..
Also a nice song which went "Viva John terry, viva john terry, he could have won the cup but the w*nker f*cked it up" made me smile

In my cynical mindset I'd hold for 10 or 11m. Milner is the sort of player who will put a shift in no matter what so if he doesn't get a move at that sort of price then keep him a year and see what happens. He has been a lot closer to leaving us in the past than he is now.

He plays on the right. Have no idea if its his favourite, he seems to play it for club and country so I guess its seen as his best. He had a good game up front last night, but you lose the influence of his intensity up there.

I like Milner as a player but don't know if he'll add significantly to what we have. We need the highest level of winger as we have good players already.

I would've posted this yesterday as i am today as i am not bitter about him putting a transfer request in but there are two things with Milner that mean he's not a top class player and why I was very suprised to here of liverpools interest:One he can't cross a ball his corners don't beat the 1st man probably 8/10 which is diabolical and also his doesn't score anywhere near enough goals. So for those 2 reasons i wont be that sorry to see him go for 10 million if swp is available at the same price i know who i'd rather have

Even without milner I wouldn't go for another winger at Newcastle. The difference between milner and Phillips is that one has played games in the last three years, the other hasn't and has gone backwards. I know which of their attitudes I'd sooner have at my team too.

Who would u play rm then if milner went ?(please don't say geremi) I don't really see why swp's attitude is an issue, he went to a big club couldn't get a game it didn't work out so he left ? How has he got a bad attitude,I'd rather a player with his attitude than someone like Wayne bridge who's spent years at Chelsea hardly got a game and then signs a 5 year contract, clear to see what motivates him eh.I hope milner doesn't go as i don't see us replacing him in time and squads to small already I'd rather see barton sacked or smith leave for pittance as he's shit and worthless anyway to give milner the little bit extra he's asking for which he deserves imo.Must be hard to see people like duff,smith,barton,ameobi... earning more than he is yet he's given 10x more to the cause than them useless fooks have.
Mike Ashley again is concerning me greatly with the way he's conducting the business of the club.It also seems that Denise Wise may be undermining the hard work King Kev(LOL all you southern/northern/non-geordie boys want he's a legend up here and always will be and deservedly so) is trying to do and i hope that he's not being taking for a ride coz if he is we all know the man is to good for that type of bs and he will walk which will lead to the sh*t truly hitting the fan for Mike Ashley and his merryman.

I'd just play Jonas on the right. He's right footed and just because he likes to cut in from the left doesn't mean he cant play right (and has been swapping with milner loads during each game this season). I think he'd be just as effective on the right longer term as he is going to be on left. We already have Charlie and duff for the left if he switches across.
I'd prefer to keep things the same as they are now, but if not I'd prefer any money coming in from Milner to go to weaker spots than the right wing.
Don't forget he has been closer to leaving than this and not gone so who knows what will happen yet.
I'm still willing to give Ashley this season before making my mind up. I'm not sure how much of what is happening at the moment is because of his style or because we're now being run as a business, which long term has to be better. He's broken our record for a defender this summer so he is investing. I hate all the specualtion about the KK Wise relationship, but a lot of it is just that. There should obviously be better communication going on than there is but once the window is closed hopefully a lot of it will die down.
