Congratulations,

Thank you for your application to The Apprentice (Series 5). This email is to confirm that we received your application and that we would like to invite you to interview on Tuesday 15th July 2008 Your interview time is 13.30pm.

Attached to this invitation are two documents:

v        The first is a full application form, which you need to fill in and then print out and bring with you to your interview.

v        The second is a contributor release form which gives us permission to film and record footage shot of you during the interview process to use in the programme or any other spin off programme.

You must arrive with both of the above documents fully completed.

The interviews will take place at:

The Raddison, Manchester, Free Trade Hall, Peter Street, Manchester, M2 5GP
T: 0161 835 9929

When you arrive at the hotel, please go through to the Parkhurst Suite on the fourth floor.

Please click on the link below to see a map of the location:-

http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=383661&y=397930&z=0&sv=M2+5GP&st=2&pc=M2+5GP&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

Please arrive on time (but no more than 15 minutes early for your interview).

Due to the volume of applicants and the nature of the day, your interview maybe short, but you should allow three hours in duration for your interview, perhaps longer in the event that we over-run.  When you arrive at your interview, you will be asked to explain very briefly why you think you are a suitable candidate for The Apprentice. This will happen in a group, together with a number of other candidates.  Some candidates may be asked to leave at this stage - so please note that it is possible that you may only be required for a short time.

Unfortunately, due to the large numbers of applicants, we will be unable to provide any feedback in relation to the decisions made during the interview process.

You will need to bring to the interview:
v        Completed application form;
v        up-to-date CV;
v        signed release form;
v        two original forms of identification (for example, a passport, driving licence or utility bill etc)  - photocopies will not be accepted; and
v        A colour passport photograph (taken within the last month).

Please note that if successful at this stage, you will be asked back to a second interview which will take place in London on either Tuesday 22nd, Wednesday 23rd or Thursday 24th July 2008.  Please make arrangements now to be available on these dates, as you will only find out if you are needed, on Friday 18th July 2008.   The second round of interviews will take half a day and will be conducted in groups.

If selected for The Apprentice, you will be required to live in London at a location provided by us for a period of up to eight weeks from mid September 2008. You will also be required for filming on pre-arranged dates before 15th September 2008, as advised by us.

During this time, access to family and friends will be limited to one phone call per week and you will not be able to pursue any personal business activity whatsoever.

Please note that in order to be considered for The Apprentice (UK) programme you must reside in and have the legal right to work in the UK. If you are the recipient of this invitation and do not fulfil this criteria, please accept our apologies, as you have received this invitation in error and unfortunately we cannot progress your application any further.

If you have any urgent queries please contact theapprentice@talkbackthames.tv. Due to the large volume of applicants, we will only respond to urgent enquiries only.

We look forward to meeting you.

Yours,

The Apprentice Team
