It was a suggestion from another blonde that we maybe have a wip around to help out mo situation.

exactly.  if there are such rules in place then surely they are there for organisations making charitable collections to be transparent about the amount of money collected being spent on overheads/admin etc.  This isn't such a collection, it's a whip round for a friend, and we know that the money is going direct to the intended recipient.

why i dont agree with flushy on this i think he has a point and i think its unfair some of you feel the need to slate him for it.

if its a forum rule then we must stick by it. it may not be p4c but it still needs to be regulated the way the blonde forum rules dictate imo.

if we make exceptions for anyone we are leaving ourselves wide open in the future for anyone who feels the need to scam (i am in no way refering to maureen in this way)

The forum rule you're referring to is for charities.  Maureen isn't a charity, she's a friend and some of her friends would like to have a whip round.  The forum is being used to organise the whip-round - that is all.

To suggest that the money and how it is spent should be audited and reported is churlish in the least.

Most of those that gave money did so privately via a discreet method direct to the intended recipient. There were no conditions attached.

If anyone wishes to attach conditions to their own donations then that is their business and they should discuss that in private with Maureen.

Fair enough, i thought it was of a charitable nature rather just giving a mate a few quid, obviously in this instance there is no need to explain what the money is to be spent on.
