Playing a live $2/$5 cash nl game with $1k in front of me. i have straddled and i see a raise to $40 from the only guy on the table who has me covered. The sb calls with $250 behind. I have in the straddle and call the $30 more. 3 to the flop and i check dark. Flop comes The raiser fires out for $100 into the $120 pot. The sb folds and action is on you what do you do next?

Shove and represent a draw. A lot of turns kill your action even if you just raise.

I think checking in the dark may be worth a thread in itself. I've often read stuff like 'most people who check in the dark do so without understanding when or why that may be the right thing to do' without ever reading when these right situations are or what checking in the dark is trying to achieve.

I would consider anything 200xBB and up as 'deep' (just my definition I'm sure it's wrong). So if the stacks were at least that 'deep' - what would the correct play be here?

Min raise gives him good odds to play for a draw so that's bad.
If he's got something good enough to call a 3 x raise he'll probably call the shove anyway.
No good reason not to push it all in.
