Ms Fran Creed, who by her own admission is running like a cheetah on a cocktail of banned substances at the moment, is on around 17k. Most recently, the gent in seat 3 raised to 1100, but laid it down when Fran made it another 3.5k. She showed pocket Queens.

James Dempsey's stack has been bisected in half courtesy of Bernard Garbriel. On a flop, James bet of 1,600 led to all the chips flying in with Bernard well ahead with versus . No change on the turn and river and Bernard doubled through.

Ooh, this is exciting.

I wandered over to the Table Of Doom to see Alan Stearn betting 2k on an flop, and Dave Smith apparently calling all in.

Alan Stearn:
Dave Smith: oh dear,

But turn: bang!

River:

Stearn: "Bloody hell!"

Smith: around 5.5k now.

Can anyone name this cheerful chappy? I believe he's from the London area as he can sometimes be found playing at the Gutshot Club in Barbican. Anyhow, he just crossed swords with Gareth Teatum, whose reach for chips on the river of a board was interrupted by his opponent who pleaded, "Ooh, you're going to need to bet big" "How much should I make it?" asked Teatum. "Well, if you bet 2,000, I can reraise then," was the reply. "Okay, let's go for 1,600 then." After a moment's pause, mateyboy made the call and showed , which was good enough against Teatum's inferior .

There have been some developments on the culinary scene. Whilst Richard Berridge is tucking into some highly recommended fish fingers, "Put these on blonde, they're great fish fingers", Steve Jelinek, who is always eating when I cross his face-filling path, is munching on what used to be a breast of chicken.

By the way, did you know the chef here has one of those Michigan star thingies?

Is that why he's not been allowed brown sauce with his fish fingers?

I wandered over to Mr Ali Mallu's table to see him betting 600 on a two hearts board, and his opponent, Mr Mate E. Boy, calling. Mr Boy proceeded to check to Mr Mallu on the river, who promptly went Virtually All In for around 5k, leaving himself a single 25 chip as a card protector. Mr Boy folded, and was rewarded by Mr Mallu flashing the . "What a turn..." muttered Mr Boy.

I have to say, I am most disappointed that DTD seems to have changed the menu overnight. Yesterday they were offering a Caribbean spicy chicken wrap with pineapples and yam puree, but today said chicken is only available in curry form. It was pretty good, though. Mmm, no breakfast is complete without some chillies in it somewhere.

I disagree.  For example:

Grapefruits
Yoghurt and banana
Pancakes
Toast

All need no such spicing.  You have just been brainwashed by the hot sauce corporations after too much extended use.
