It wasnt a real hand, just similar to a lot of situations yesterday.

ok its 15 to call ~25 so you need 1/(25/15 + 1) = 0.375 = 37.5%  to call.

The hands here are really immaterial, I was posing the question after a long cash session and it was one of the observations.

There were constantly shorties coming and going, once they built a stack to 3 x the buy in they would piss off, unmless they were stuck a few.

The constant stream of shortstacks trying to double was unrelenting, i have to admit I was a little off my game due to their randomness to push, it left me little or no room to play my trash. ( huff taken by me )

if they win, they scamper off into the night, if they lose, they keep on reloading and reloading.

As for the "the hands here are immaterial".. i guess that means you are asking a theoretical question... and the question is "would you, as a professional gambler, take 7/4 on your money in a 50/50 coup", and i suspect most professionals would indeed take that punt.

yes, it sure sucks when you lose money, but if you cant handle losing, then gambling is not the environment for you.
