Vicky Pendleton looks like she's on course for her gold.

Yelena Isinbayeva - apparently has come into the Games with the highest win streak of any athelete - 15 meets in a row...
can't get an image but makes Vicky look it a liitle bit ordinary - sorry Kin.

We have more Golds than expected but what about medals?
We were aiming for 41 are we going to get there?
I know we have triple jump and madison that we're likely to gold in + a probable medal in the boxing. Where are the others coming from?
No criticism just want to know what i should watch out for.

Good question.

We have a gold coming in the sailing (proberly).
Gold and silver in the mens sprint cycling.
Gold in the womens sprint cycling.
Madison - one medal?
Triple jump - gold?
Women's 400m - medal in that?
Possibly one medal from the 1500m, 400m, 4x400m?
Boxing medal?
Horsey stuff - another medal?

That's another 10 medals.

That still puts us 4 short of the 41 target.   So we'd have to find them somewhere else?

I'd like to see her without her hair scraped back - makes her face look too harsh.

Isinbayeva is OK - but prefer Vicky myself.

Amazing athlete though, she's the female Sergei Bubka.

after this years Olympics someone will be a houehold name,Victoria Pendleton should do very well, shes a very attractive intelligent girl with a lovely personality,
but Rebecca Romerro could be the 1 who has the glory for me, i have read she looks nailed on to win gold in the woman's individual persuit ,cycling, she had to retire from rowing because of a back injury after she won a silver in the rowing at the last olympics, to win a medal in 2 different sports at the olympics is a fantastic achievement,so i couldn't believe the odds of 40/1 for Rebecca to be sportsman of the year, littlie saver on Pendleton as well

I think Rebecca Adlington will probably be up there too.  At 19 she has two gold medals from one olympics and completely destroyed a WR.  I can honestly say I've never watched such an amazing race in my life, she smashed the hell out of it.

Yes you have, Phelps in the 100 butterfly.

Adlington for Personality of the Year though. All the old crusty farts will rule out Romero and Pendleton because of the risque pics they did.

After hearing rebecca romeros post event interview, personality is not a word that could be used when talking about her ... great athlete without a doubt, but totally bereft of a personality.

Lol, I was referring to the British athletes.  The men's 100m butterfly was amazing, but for different reasons...That guy has quick arms!
