BMX ... nothing doing there. staying on the bike is an integral part of the "sport" imo.

A boxing gold would be the iciing on the cake of this Olympics.
We also have a shit hot prospect in the form of 17 year old Aaron Cook in Taekwondo (thats a bit like upside down boxing that is) who could win something.

I reckon we could get a couple of boxing golds. DeGale looks like he's on top form, and Price must now be a decent shot (hopefully no bokking there).
But let's not count the golds before they've been won.

Like to idea of the staggered start in the 3000m Modern pentathlon, they should do the same in the decathlon etc so the person who crosses the line first is the actual winner of the event.

Basically they start based on ther position pointwise going into the final event. So the GB girl to win the event would have to beat the current leader by 19 secs to make up the points deficit she has. So instead of just working out the points at the end of the race they give them a staggered start so the person who win the race wins the event.
Make sense?

lol @ taekwondo. wtf is that all about it's like when the 2 slow kids used to fight at school. they both dance around a bit then one of them flys at the other with all their limbs flailing but nothing actually connecting. at least one of them falls over each time and then they both look a bit confused. pretty sure I've never seen a less effective method of fighting

Though a less effective method of fighting would be to try and replicate most WWE moves. Try giving someone a stone cold stunner in a pub fight (I do have a friend that got a mud wrestler in a boston crab before tho)

I've never seen a taekwondo player(?) land a blow that would even injure a small child.
