Hunger games MJ2

Couldn't give this more than a 6/10. Only 2 decent action scenes, a love story that made little to no sense. A main character dying that should have been the most poignant moment but was glossed over. Absolutely cringe worthy final scene. Clearly no need to split this into parts.

Thankfully Jennifer Lawrence is as watchable as ever. Really disappointed as I seemed to be one of the few that really liked the last book.

Amy Schumer in Trainwreck, so, so good.

I enjoyed it, slowed down in a few places but she is one of the funniest people on the planet at the moment so it was always going to be pretty good.

First saw her on one of the Comedy Central Roasts, and then she popped up a few times on some of the older Joe Rogan podcasts.

Very funny woman.

Saw the latest Mission Impossible film last night and was very good (It's what Bond should be like ;o)

Good action scenes including a really good car chase, motorbike action and easy enough plot to follow and was just about everything you want in an action/suspense type movie.

It looks horrific. SBC is a master when he interjects his creations into real life situations, but when he does stuff like this all I can think of is Adam Sandler.

I thought the new Stars Wars film was pretty good, though not exceptional.

It certainly looks like the early films - lots of sand dunes and the feel of the film is very A New Hope.

My main criticism is that it's all a bit obvious - JJ Abrams has given Star Wars fans everything they could have asked for, but not really anything original or surprising. I'm hoping that the next film will expand out on things a bit more and go into new territory.

Unfortunately, Harrison Ford is completely done as an actor, any spark he ever had as Han or Indiana Jones is gone, it's like dementia is kicking in. The new main girl character is very promising, even if her accent is straight outta Downton Abbey.

Force Awakens - its not terrible, but its not good.
I am not a huge fan, like New Hope and Jedi but that's about it.  It just all seemed so obvious and very corny.  Maybe my expectations were too high.
Can only endorse Andrew's thought re Harrison Ford and the female lead.  The highlight was the score for me.

The trailers for Captain America and Hateful eight were far more entertaining then the film.
