Well I have the rest of my order the same as yours so fingers crossed Force Awakens slips in at the top.

Was already certain everyone else was wrong of course but nice to see it confirmed by someone who actually has a clue what they're talking about.

The biggest gripe those who didn't rate it highly was that it was too much like the original trilogy and didn't differentiate from it, yet pretty much the same folks said that the prequels were bad because they were nowhere near enough like the originals. It felt like the originals and it was non-stop fun, what more can you ask?

Star Wars is Star Wars and you get to see Han Solo, R2D2, C3PO etc back on the big screen. So really it is excellent. Agree that Harrison has a worrying perma-vacant look on his face these days.

The Revenant is top drawer and sees Leanardo deliver a truly excellent performance. Oscar for sure.

Watched Sicario last night, it's ok if you are at a loose end and looking for something to watch, but I wouldn't put it on a must see list.

The Narco's box set is a much better watch about the same thing....

Star Wars Force Awakens - 7/10, but that's due to loyalty and love for the franchise.

Needs its own 'with spoilers thread' to discuss in more detail.

Oh yah Tarantino is back with Hateful Eight. A mammoth 3 hours long, bit of a slow burner but turns into classic Tarantino crossing the western theme of Django, the blood bath of Resevoir and the jump back in time of Pulp. The only thing is we know he likes using the nigga word but it's like every other word in this movie, not sure about that really?!? Anyway the longer it goes on the better it gets. Jackson is the coolest mother fucker in the room as always. 8/10.

I thought Jennifer Jason Leigh was superb ,some genuine laugh out loud moments involving her , and great to see Samuel back to form.

The one disappointment for me was the soundtrack , not up to the usual high Tarentino standard.

Creed- Rocky back in action as the trainer of Apollo Creed's son.

Not bad at all, if you like the other Rocky films you will probably like it. 7/10

Sunshine on Leith is on Channel 4 at the moment. A musical set to the songs of The Proclaimers.

I cannot think of a better film to take down Christmas decorations to.

Hateful Eight- The last hour was decent, but I can't forgive the total waste of 2 hours of my time in the slow boring build up to the action. 5/10
