been on a roll lately and seen some good solid films

The Kingdom - Jamie Foxx really enjoyed this one not as intelligent as it makes out but decent enough

State of Play - remake of the BBC drama but with Affleck and Russel Crowe actually think they did a better job with the material enjoyable thriller tho spoilt slightly by the fact if you seen the BBC version you know how it ends

Role Models - dumb but enjoyable , dont usually like these films but this caught me in the mood

as for the Zombieland trailer that looks good but as stated a SOTD ripoff

Shocked at how poor Avatar looks after the long wait for James Cameron (Terminator 1/2, True lies, Aliens, Titanic)  to return...it looks like some videogame I would'nt want to play let alone watch...

adding titanic onto that list made me lol

I'm not sure you can judge a lot from the avatar trailer, I have no idea what to expect having seen it

Yeah I must admit I nearly left Titanic off, but its the biggest $$$ of all time so thought it was apt, oh he also made Piranha 2...

Just back from cinema ...

The Firm...

A remake of the 1988 tv drama ... but very different, Oldman's portrayal of Bex was infinitely better than this guys ... the only advice I would give anyone going to see this would be, Ignore the original and treat this as a different film altogether.

It was good, but the gritty, menacing and bordering on psychopathic Bex, didnt hit as hard as the original.

Great soundtrack, some genuine LOL moments, average movie overall.

IMO compared to the original it was a very poor effort,I think they tried to hard to make it look like the 80's but just didnt work..

also wtf was the cordless drill doing back then? the yankee screwdriver was all the rage then.

Did anyone see that Scottish film "Sweet Sixteen" that was on late last night on BBC4 I think it was ?

Excellent heavy-duty stuff I thought and extremely well-acted too by what were a cast of "unknowns" to me.

It earned a ***** Karabiner rating.

have to admit Pineapple Express whilst a good premise just really didnt do anything for me . Whilst im particulalry naive about drugs I like to think I get the druggie references but its simply just wasnt funny enough. Im not down on "stoner" movies (i like jay silent bob , Harold & Kumar were decent) PE just wasnt that good.

Caught up with Rocknrolla today wasnt too shabby not as good as Lock Stock or Snatch but watchable with a few funny bits
