Before I hit the sack, may I make two requests:

(1) Earlier today, it emerged that Martin Green was threatening to quit tournament poker if he didn't finish in the top two after a number of 'so near yet so far' performances in major events. Personally, I think this is a crying shame. Martin comes across as a very amicable guy and is a highly talented player, so his absence would prove a real loss to the poker world. In this sense, I have decided to start a 'Save The Green' campaign in order to keep him on the circuit. Hopefully my campaign will help change his mind if he doesn't make those top positions and convince him to carry on playing. If, like me, you are interested in saving the Green, then I urge you to use this thread as a petition. Even just repeating the words 'Save the Green' could really make a big difference. No contribution is too small.

(2) Secondly, please could you honour us with your top three predictions for the tournament. Obviously, I'm putting Martin Green in the top two and will be hoping he gets that major score he has been longing for.

1st = Martin Green
2nd = Martin Jarvis
3rd = Sam Trickett

1) Sam Trickett by far the favourite I would say. Smart aggressive player with loads of chips - easy pick for number one imo.

2) Martin Green. Another quality player. Not many chips but he can use them well.

3) Iwan Jones. No chips, but the big welshman can play. He'll need to run good to get a stack but if he does could be hard to stop.

I'd love to see Stu Rutter do well though as he's a likeable, genuine guy and has had foul luck in tournaments for a while. Needs more chips though...

PS Save the Green

As I got knocked out day 1 I went to say goodbye to rutter before he told me he was making a comeback from 1,900 chips. I am kinda impressed that he has gotten this far and fwiw, luton has been his best casino results wise. This is his 6th tourney at luton now and is amazingly his 5th cash here.

1st. Sam Trickett.

2nd. Stu Rutter

Martin Jarvis

Are my 3 picks, its hard not to have Sam as number 1 with those chips.  He seems to run good as well.
