But can we really take that risk, Flushy? He seemed deadly serious yesterday, and quite frankly I'm concerned. We must act now. Save the Green!

Come on Andreas, get it won son. Like to see him take this down, this is the first time he's been prominent in a big one and he's certainly got the balls for it. Otherwise, Iwan or Wayney Baby would be a pleasing outcome.

And straight off the bar, Peter Arrigoni has doubled up his shortstack after moving in on Sam Trickett with . Sam took a shot with .

Board = three clubs

Meanwhile, Rob Sherwood has agreed to be part of the 'Save the Green' petition. "Don't call me a railer though," pleaded Rob. "I only came for brekkie, there's no where else to go."

On a sidenote, Rob Sherwood reckons James Mitchell is a dark horse. "He's got no track record, but I played with him on day one and he's a good player."

Wayne Mardle limps in the small blind and current short-stacker Stuart Rutter announces '60,000' from the big blind. Wayne pauses momentarily before confessing, "I'm not going to waste everyone's time' and folding. The Nutter survives.

Cagey.

That's the only way to describe the opening to today's play. Ok, so it's only just started but the players look very focused on buckling down and playing their best poker to get through to the final table and the glory that awaits the champion.

A blind steal from Trickett here, a blind steal from Martin Green there but so far the group looked locked together and the action has yet to erupt into fiery action.

Give it time though and we should see the fireworks go off...

Some pics of the early action (or lack of), including one of Wayne Mardle looking resplendent in his snazzy multi-coloured shirt.

Our potential hero of the day, Martin Green, has received an unexpected text from friend 'dubai' Dave Shallow:

"If you take this one down, it will be like Greg Norman winning the Open."  Cheesy

Good news for all Brummie Bandit fans out there - Stuart Rutter has doubled up. Pushing all in from the cut-off for 125,000 with , Stuart Rutter was given a surprise spin by David La Ronde in the small blind who had . Clearly pumped up and dying to make this final table, he firmly planted his hand onto the felt and rose excitedly from his seat. Refusing to celebrate until the whole board was dealt out, Stuart hit top pair on the flop, but began shaking his head in anticipation of a nasty outdraw as the turn came the . With no backdoor straight arriving on the Two Clubs river, Stuart punched the air before him and returned to his seat in confident mood. With these new found chips, Stuart Rutter could emerge as a real dangerman in this main event.
