On the very last hand prior to the break, Peter Arrigoni raised it up to 36,000 preflop only for James Mitchell to make it 106,000 from the button.

Peter pauses momentarily before folding, adding "Let's keep it a friendly break" in the process.

James showed two spades.

More Trickett on Mitchell action.

Mitchell raises to 55,000 preflop and Sam makes the call from the cut-off. La Ronde and Green get out of the way from the blinds...

The flop comes .

Check from Mitchell and Sam taps the table announcing a check as well.

The turn is the .

Check from Mitchell and this time Trickett bet out 60k...James called!

The river fell the and Mitchell didn't take long to check, before Sam said in a quiet voice "All-in."

A big bet from Sam and James couldn't find it in himself to call so laid down his hand, allowing Sam to get a bit of revenge for that three bet re-pop preflop earlier...

The battle between these two is getting very exciting!

Wayne Mardle is out and becomes the 7th place finisher winning £14,100

Out of the blue, the tournament director announces an all in between darts supremo Wayne Mardle (cut-off) and David La Ronde (button).

David =

Wayne =

Flop =

Turn = Two Clubs

River =

As he departed, Wayne wished the table good luck before being wrestled into a headlock by his assassin, David. As always, Wayne took it in good spirits and exited with a smile, which he has wore consistently through these four days whether he has won big pots, or lost mammoth ones. Hopefully Wayne will become a permanent fixture on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour, if not the poker circuit as a whole.

What this does mean, however, is that Martin Green has climbed the ladder and made it through to the final six. I'm not sure what his cut-off point is where he'll decide to continue his career, but let's hope he reads this thread and agrees to be saved. Save the Green!

Defending Your Blind...

Two examples just occurred. First Sam Trickett limped on David La Ronde's Big Blind and La Ronde made it 50k more. Sam passed and La Ronde showed him pocket Jacks which left Sam giggling to himself.

Next up La Ronde limped on Martin Green's big blind, but Martin was having none of it and shoved all-in for another 200k or so. La Ronde requested a count, but looked unlikely to call and this proved the case as he also passed to the Big Blind defence...

Peter Arrigoni raises it up to 50,000 preflop and James Mitchell repops to 120,000 from the button. Peter pushes in for a total of 255,000 total. James calls.

James =
Peter =

James rises from his seat in anticipation of the flop. This could be the one that gives him the chip lead...

Flop =

The tensions builds as the onlooking crowd edge closer...

Turn =

"Five," requests James...

River =

Peter receives a crucial double up and is now over the half a million mark.
