apparently Osasuna will get %25 of the fee , then will use that to offer £2 million to Celtic for Evander Sno , so basically Rangers are paying us to get rid of Sno , you couldnt make it up haha
OMG! We'd have been as well taking the money to celtic park in a wheelbarrow to save the trouble!!!! ffs
Yous don't have £2 million kicking about hence why Ugly Betty was sold. Plus Villa will pay in installments.
The reason the transfer fee is in installments is because O'Neill is wiping his arse with every 20 pound note before he hands it over to rangers.
That's 390,000 notes, though rangers have requested that the due process, although entirely necessary and understandable, is sped up by wiping martins mouth with around half the notes, as he talks complete shit anyway, they figure it is an efficient use of resources

I was pretty sure it wasnt true as per usual when celtic fans try to take the piss when something happens to Rangers. David Murray confirmed that no percentages of the Cueller transfer is owed out to any club including Osasuna. Looks like some other team will have to pay Celtic to send Sno to Osasuna

Reports today suggest David Murray is allowing Walter Smith to splash the cash on the Gers team. This is, of course, in response to criticism after the sale of our star player, Carlos Cuellar, to Aston Villa for a paltry few million pounds.
I have no doubt that Carlos considered his place at Rangers after our European humiliation but just a few days ago he also stated that he was enjoying life in Glasgow and at Rangers so much that he didn't need a new contract or more cash to consider staying. Quotes and reports on the sale suggest he was desperate to leave to further his chances at international level. Again, there may be some truth in that but this begs the question: why are so many Rangers supporters furious over this saga?
The simple answer is that many simply do not believe what comes from the club. We've seen this before. Whatever your views on Barry Ferguson, we know now that he was forced from Ibrox by Murray and Bain, who both wanted the cash. Similarly, it was quite clear that Alan Hutton wanted to stay but he was again encouraged to leave by those in charge who could only see the pound signs. With our latest prized asset, you can't blame people for not swallowing the lies presented by the chairman and his permatanned puppet. I think they have taken blind loyalty for granted and this appears to be one lie too far.
Cash from the transfer may well be spent and we could still bring in some players (midfielders, please?) but this is merely an attempt to appease frustrated fans prior to Saturday's home tie against Hearts in the wake of rumours regarding potential protests. Contrary to reports in one paper, it is not merely the sale of Cuellar that has infuriated the support but consistent downsizing for nearly a decade, which many people are finally taking note of.
Consider these points.
1. Rangers have no youth academy.
We have youth teams, we have youth players but ultimately our youth setup has produced only two (McGregor and Hutton) quality first team players in ten years. That's an epic failure.
We have seen a couple of generations of 'the next big thing' come, fail and disappear because there is no youth academy in place to ensure the talented youngsters make the step up to the first team. For examples, think of Darren Fitzgerald, Lee Feeney, Paul Reid, Stephen Carson, Billy Gibson, Maurice Ross, Bob Malcolm, Stephen Hughes, Ross McCormack, Stephen Dobbie...
In all his time at Rangers, Murray has never focussed properly on youth.
2. We have no scouting network.
Arsenal have a network of seven scouts whose job it is to watch football all over the world from school games to World Cup finals and the club has a database on every player watched. If Wenger says he wants a 6ft 4 centre back who's pacey, under 24, out of contract within a year and can speak fluent English, they'll provide a list of names for him in no time.
Our entire scouting network relies on Walter Smith's previous Scotland squad (would anyone be shocked if we signed Quashie?), teams we play against in Europe and at home, and Ally McCoist going abroad to watch the odd game.
Murray has never looked to put in place a proper scouting network.
3. We are slaughtered in the press.
Rangers fans have, in just the last few years, been called orange *******s, nazis, and sub human. We have had lies printed about our founders, a joke about the Ibrox Disaster, a story about us (and not Celtic fans) abusing Mark Walters on his debut and a front-page article mocking the death of our first manager.
Journos can write almost anything about Rangers supporters because they know Murray will never do anything about it. He never has, he will never defend us and he does not care if YOU are called a nazi in the mainstream press, purely because you support Rangers.
4. We have been second best in Scotland for the 2000s.
Our last convincing title win was last century. Thanks to David Murray's horrendous overspending (and don't give me any nonsense about it being Advocaat's fault, Murray signed the cheques) we have been on a downward spiral and have been second best for almost all of this century. Is there any plan in place to make sure we don't remain second or is Murray just crossing his fingers and hoping Smith pulls a title out the bag after we were humiliated in Europe?
We have gone from Albertz to Nerlinger, van Bronckhorst to Mladenovic, Kanchelskis to Capucho, Mols to Ostenstadt, Hutton to Dailly, Numan to Vanoli, and now Kenny Miller will most likely be replacing Kris Boyd. We are not replacing like for like at any level.
Think for a second that between Dave King and ENIC we had SIXTY MILLION pounds injected in to our club. Was this used to fund a state of the art youth academy to bring through the very best young players in the country? Was it used to set up a world class scouting network to aid whoever is managing our team? No, Murray managed to turn a £60 million injection into an £80 million debt, that's a turnaround of £140 million and we have nothing, absolutely nothing, to show for it.
If you want to back a man that doesn't care if you and your fellow fans are called nazis or orange scum; if you want to back a man that has no plan for Rangers and doesn't have the ambition to make us number one; if you want to back a man that won't even properly recognise our own history with a museum or defend our club when people are slaughtering us; if you want to back a man that has made it public that he has lost interest in Rangers and wants out, you go for it. I want better for Rangers.
Finally, I ask the question: will our support wake up to the mess Murray has made at Ibrox NOW or will it take a Celtic nine-in-a-row? Think about that.

rangers calibre of player has dropped dramatically, but so has celtics.
i actually think we were the better side most of last season, celtic were pisspoor up until their exit to barcelona. but the fact is they are both very poor sides and im amazed by the recent european sucesses of both.
for celtic to get on their high horse is quite amusing, im not in the slightest bit worried by their signings, as am sure they arnt by ours, though tbh if they had bought a quality cf cm and cb like they should have, they would win the league hands down, instead celtic being celtic, never force home an advantage, and have signed next to nothing.
should be a close title race again, with a particularly poor brand of football methinks

Celtic did well signing Loovens.
@ Rangers trying to buy McFadden. The most inconsistent player in the world and a massive moany little shyte. "I don't want to play in the Championship for 9 months", no but nobody else want's you, you pillock and you knew Birmingham would get relegated when you signed for them last year....blah!

I agree with that, although you'll not see many Celtic fans get on their high horse, all we are doing is taking the piss at the shambles that Rangers are in (which is fair game tbh).
Rangers being shite doesn't make Celtic better.

TBH, I watched both OF team games this weekend and I saw more football in the 30 minutes that I watched of Hamilton v Dundee Utd.

I don't think I worded that very well, Celtic are obviously better than Rangers but Rangers being crap doesn't mean that Celtic get better (if you know what I mean
)
