WTF is it with some people in poker. I really thought we were getting past the stage where people jump up and down like a fking baboon when they win a hand in poker. I'm off work this week and DTD is closed tonight, so I thought I'd go and check out an old Notts haunt for a £10 rebuy and a bit of comedy. Comedy it indeed was, with 70 runners with half the table being all in blind every hand for the first hour or so which is fine for a £10 rebuy, it also ensured our table contributed massively towards the prizepool. It was also great to see alot of old faces who choose not to venture over to DTD very often.

However on the final table (could be a disguised brag post but I only made £40 after booze, taxi etc), I doubled up a shortstack twice whilst I was on the button and he was in the BB, he managed to find superior hands to my raise on each occasion.......fair enough in my book WP NH etc. However what pissed me off no end were his rubdowns and general baboonery after I doubled him up. I think I'm a pretty easy going guy and hope I never really step out of line which also means I expect the same of others (guess I'm spoilt at DTD), but I ended up telling the guy to stop acting like a fking prick which he didn't take too well.......meh. Why oh why do people think it is still ok to act like this???

Rant over, that is all................

IMO...
The blame lies squarley with the Media ,TV etc,...they have encouraged all the shinanigans for "The viewers" entertainment  ..they love all that shit...And it becomes a case of "Monkey see ...Monkey do"
Strong cardroom management is all that`s needed to curb the stupidity.

The blame lies with the players. All are over 18 and responsible for their own actions.

Then they were possibly rehearsing for the WSOP, WSOPE , EPT or WPT...
Or perhaps they think that acting up and giving the rub down is the correct play?
Either way it will all end in tears eventualy.

It will never end in tears until TD's grow a pair and make a few examples out of the clowns.... and that aint ever gonna happen in casinos where the TD's have about the same level of authority as the cleaner or the pot washer.

If baboons played poker and someone acted inappropriately, would they say "I got humaned. It all started when he outdrew my aces..."

I think you should maybe give the photographer 50p

The watermark means that the photograph is available to purchase at istockphoto. Reproducing it such a manner is infringing on their copyright. (or something)

(I found this out by stealing a photo myself earlier this year, and pissing off a photographer)

Ha Ha, its just happened to me again at DTD now. In the blinds against a random dude again we proceed at get it all in PF, he hits one of his four outs and exclaims 'YES' at the top of his voice and punches the air idiot. Not as bad a yesterday but I think I'll go and tilt some money off online to make me feel better.
