Get a Job imo.
The reason i say this is coz my flatmate ChipRich is a full time Professional and sometimes doesnt leave our flat for weeks on end, never feels like air, never has any social interaction.

Hi amatay, im mainly an online pro I guess (for this year anyway).
When I used to grind 3/6 and 5/10nl I would play about 20 hours a week which I would consider a lot. I played 4-6 tables a time.
I now play 25/50 and 50/100 and probably play 10 hours a week (lolaments). I would not consider this lazy either as finding soft games up that high is harder. I am also usually just 1 or two tabling.
I'm almost never bored as I don't play TOO much, I find myself
playing golf everyday
which means I am more motivated to play poker in the evenings.
As for getting into a routine...do as you please. You are your own boss after all
I'm useless at golf but this would be bliss!

Staying motivated is def a problem...
I'm full time pro nowadays, since I started a better schedule a couple of months ago I've been running good. Used to wake up around half 12 and play sporadically between then and like 2am.
Now...
Wake up around 10am have breakfast, play for 2-3 hours. Then shower and have lunch. Play for 2-4 hours in the afternoon depending on errands and stuff then spend most evenings with my girlfriend, though will occasionally play MTTs at night.
Definitely a day off here and there required!

Why not ever play in the early hours of the morning? You can catch the Americans then?

As the current US player base is probably the strongest of any country at the moment. Due to UIGEA meaning that the US fish can't get there money online, most have given up and the average man on the street in the US, has been told playing online is illegal. This means we are left with mainly winning us players/clued up people playing.
Also the US is the most mature poker market and the game has become more advanced strategy wise, there ahead of other markets.

I need a new monitor - I just spat my drink over it
I take the point on board about the yanks on sites being better. I forgot about the gaming laws. Still boggles me why they wont allow you to bet for pennies yet you can drop a mortgage on roulette.
